## What is Vaskuna?

Ten minutes, four times a week.

Guidelines ask for a good deal more, and they also say to start small and build up. Forty minutes is where Vaskuna starts you.

Answer eleven questions and Vaskuna builds you a week: four short sessions, spread across the week. Sessions can be seated or standing, and there is nothing to buy. They use what is already in the house: a sturdy chair, a wall, a kitchen counter, now and then the stairs. Each one tells you what to have within reach before it starts.

WHAT YOU GET

• A fresh week of guided sessions, built for you and rebuilt every week
• Sessions that step up as you complete them, at a pace your body can follow
• Spoken guidance for every movement, so you need not watch the screen
• Sessions on your TV over AirPlay or a cable, with your iPhone as the remote
• An unhurried pace, with longer to get ready and a slower voice
• Thirty movements: mobility, gentle strength, balance and walking
• Nineteen routines from five to sixteen minutes, seated or standing
• Clear illustrations and plain-language cues for every movement
• A "this one hurts, swap it" button on every movement, and the swap stays
• Only the minutes you actually do are counted, and you can watch your week add up
• Change how many sessions a week you want, and your plan rebuilds around it
• One reminder on session days if you want it, and nothing on rest days
• Walks recorded as workouts in Apple Health count towards your week, if you allow it
• Export your blood pressure log as a PDF to take to an appointment

KEEP TRACK OF YOUR READINGS

If you use a blood pressure cuff at home, you can type your readings into Vaskuna and see them plotted over time. When your next appointment comes round, export the whole log as a PDF to print or email to your doctor.

Vaskuna does not measure blood pressure. It has no way to. You take the reading with your own cuff and enter the numbers yourself. Vaskuna stores them and shows them back to you. It does not interpret them, score them, or tell you what they mean. That conversation belongs with your doctor.

BUILT FOR REAL PEOPLE, NOT ATHLETES

Large, high-contrast type that respects your text size setting. Every button sized to be easy to hit. Sessions you can do in a front room, in ordinary clothes, holding the back of a chair.

YOUR HEALTH DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE

No account. No sign-up. Vaskuna does not upload your answers, sessions or readings. Your iPhone backup may contain a copy.

BEFORE YOU START

Vaskuna is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor or prevent any condition. Talk to your doctor before starting new exercise, particularly if you have a heart condition, get chest pain or dizziness, or have been told to exercise only under supervision.

Stop and seek medical help if you notice chest pain or tightness, severe breathlessness, dizziness, or a racing heartbeat.

SUBSCRIPTION

Your first seven days are free, with no payment details and no account. After that a subscription keeps your sessions going:

• 12 months: $79.99 a year ($6.67 a month)
• 1 month: $12.99 a month

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.5 — 2026-10-23

A smoother first week.

• Finish setting up and your first session is ready the same day, not on your next chosen day.
• The subscription screen shows the monthly plan first and says plainly when Apple charges.
• Restore purchase now tells you what it found.
• Clearer wording about where your data is kept.

### 1.2.4 — 2026-10-20

More ways to fit Vaskuna to you, and to the people who look after you.

• A plan to show your physio or doctor: one tap makes a PDF of your week and every movement, to print or send. Blood pressure readings only go in if you choose.
• Leave out any movement a physio has said to avoid, and bring it back later, from Moves.
• Hot or icy days: plain advice, and a choice to stay in and do an indoor session instead of a walk.
• If you take medicines: general points on how some medicines change how exercise feels, and when to ask your doctor or pharmacist.
• Vaskuna now follows your iPhone's Bold Text, Increase Contrast and Reduce Motion settings.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-10-19

A plan that fits your week, and help for the days that do not go to plan.

• Moves in your day: if you switch it on in You, one gentle minute a day, tied to something you already do, like the kettle boiling or the adverts on TV. It counts towards your week.
• A new phone: You now explains how your history comes with you when you move to a new iPhone.
• Walks from Apple Health now count in every week since you joined, even a week in which you did not open Vaskuna before it ended.
• Choose your own session days, and move a session to another day when the week changes.
• Pause your plan when you are ill, away or going into hospital. It comes back gently when you do. Your subscription is not paused.
• If you fall: a plain page on getting up, getting help, and what to set up on your phone now, from NHS and physiotherapy guidance.
• After a session: what stiffness is normal a day or two later, how a sore joint is different, and when to see your doctor.
• If you stop a session because you feel unwell, Vaskuna now waits for you to say your doctor is happy before offering the next one.
• If Vaskuna ever cannot open your history, it now says so plainly instead of starting again.
• Clearer for VoiceOver, larger text and the balance hold, after a careful review of every screen.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-19

New, from the research on what helps people stay steady and keep going.

• Balance that grows with you: in the balance movements, the hold lightens as they start to feel right, from both hands to one hand, then fingertips, then hands just above the worktop. You shows where you are.
• A self-check every six weeks: stand up from a chair for 30 seconds and hold four balance positions. Progress shows your own numbers over time, and nothing else.
• Safety at home: a room-by-room checklist from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in You.
• Share your week with family, in a few plain words, from Progress.
• Light ankle weights: if you have them, the leg strength movements say when to wear them.
• Also: "Did you finish?" says how long the screen was off, Moves shows how long a routine runs in your plan, and the streak badge has a clearer flame.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-17

A careful look at every screen, and clearer safety advice.

• The drawings for heel raises, knee lifts, the standing curl and standing on one leg now face the chair and hold its back, as the instructions say.
• When to stop says it plainly: for chest pain or tightness, call your emergency number straight away. Do not wait to see if it passes.
• "Did you finish?", asked after a session that ran on with the screen off, is now easy to read.
• The session screen names its buttons: Voice on or off, and When to stop.
• With large text, the Blood pressure card on Today no longer breaks a word in two.
• Progress: a week with nothing done no longer looks like progress, and "Four weeks running" is now "Four weeks in a row".
