## What is VatView?

VatView is a mobile app that allows flight simulation enthusiasts to track ATC presence and flight information on the VATSIM network.

VatView aims to be your ultimate VATSIM companion! It provides easy access to active VATSIM terminal area ATC stations and frequencies and exposes the ATIS message easily. It also shows enroute ATC, including marking land, oceanic, UIR and FSS VATSIM controlled areas on the map.

VatView features three main views:
- a map displaying all pilots and air traffic controllers currently connected to the VATSIM network. 
- A filterable and searchable list page - displaying a detailed list of all connected pilots and ATC.
- An airport search page - which concentrates all connected ATC, active flights and prefiled flight plans for a specific airport.

VATSIM (short for the Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network) is a completely free online platform that allows Flight simulator enthusiasts connect and fly virtually on one shared virtual aviation eco system. It simulates Air Traffic Control (ATC) with full voice and network connection between virtual pilots flight on flight simulator software and virtual air traffic controllers using software for providing ATC services. It is as real as it gets.
It supports Microsoft's Flight simulator (MSFS, FSX and FS9), P3D and X-Plane.

### 5/5 — Easy to use app for VATSIM.

If I’m honest, a landscape view would be nice.  But contrary to other reviews I have actually found this app quite useful on when flying on VATSIM.  The app is well optimized and easy and intuitive to use. No annoying ads.  I think this is a great app for getting info on VATSIM.

### 1/5 — Sketchy! Charge my account without permission!

I installed this app to evaluate it. The next thing I know is that my bank account was charged $2.99 for it. Nowhere did I purchase this app. I saw the purchase screen, but I dismissed it. This app sounds very sketchy to me. How do I get my money back?

**Developer response:** VatView doesn't and never have charged anyone anything. You don't expect anyone to believe that Apple allows apps to charge you without consent in the store. You are just trying to damage the app's reputation for some reason.

Two basic problems with this app:
1) it fails to adapt to screen orientation (c'mon, we live in 2021 now)
2) it shows wrong frequency for some controllers as 199.998 (which cannot be tuned because the aviation band range is only from 118 to 136 MHz)
Such basic faults make for an unpleasant user experience.
Can you please fix them soon?

**Developer response:** The 199.998 frequencies were filtered a while ago. This is not wrong, but it is irrelevant for pilots.
Please try the latest release as it added landscape mode among many other features.
