The 5 star reviews are obviously fakes... ### 2/5 — Extremely Cumbersome *2021-01-08, version 3.11.12* Used to be good, but recently I have been all types of issues when transferring funds to my Companion Cards. Their customer service leaves much to be desired ; being terribly slow in their response. All this adds to a very frustrating experience all round. What's happened to you Vault? You used to be so seamless. Now to put Pounds into my card, I have to buy Euros, load them into my card, and then Exchange back to Pounds. It's costing me a fortune. But other than that. Vault serves my purpose Worldwide ### 1/5 — Too many glitches, too often *2018-06-02, version 3.5.1* Another frustrating afternoon spent trying to access my funds and being told repeatedly to update the App. Only update functionality doesn’t work. Then jump through hoops: update App. OK, oh look opens screen saying ‘update App’ Click, only to see screen saying update App, click, update App message appears saying update up. 🤦‍♂️Aaaargh!!!! ### 1/5 — Poor Experience. *2018-05-31, version 3.5.1* Pretty useless. I lost a lot of money changing from Euros to UAE dirhams on finding that I could not use it in Dubai. Then tried to use it on holiday and found it was not accepted. Now I want to transfer Euros back to my bank and can’t access the app! It tries to make me update the app but just sends me round in circles, not letting me access my wallet! ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2018-04-17, version 3.3.3* Nothing but problems with this. Had problems in every country I have used it in. Took months for card to come, got completely ripped off at cash machines in the uk and Italy as it seems to decide at the moment what currency to pay in. Debited Euro in UK and GBP in Europe despite there being money in both wallets. If the ATM is not in a bank don't use it as the card confuses the machine. Doesn't work anywhere that is not one of the 5 main currencies, i.e. Japan and UAE it just pays in Euros so it's a completely pointless app. Now my card doesn't work having typed the pin in 3 times CORRECTLY it got blocked. Customer support was actually decent except that they couldn't fix the problem and they are not 24hours so if you have an issue outside of their working hours, good luck. All the good reviews are from devere employees. Wouldn't trust devere with personal information. Much better apps like this already exist like Revolut. Update: They sent me a new card, charged me €10 for it. New card is now also not working. Never had this problem with any other bank card I've had. Will not be getting a third new card as it's been less than a year since the first! Rubbish ### 4/5 — Great for sending money freely *2018-04-16, version 3.3.3* Pros: I use my vault card daily. I live in Germany and still have a UK bank account. So uploading in gbp and transferring to euros in app is simple quick and efficient. With no charges. I can also send money to friends and family instantly vault to vault free or to bank accounts for a small fee. The ease and efficiency is brilliant for frequent travelers or multiple small exchanges. Cons: The support isn’t the best (not 24/7). The bank transfer load of funds on to the card can take a while.
