## What is Vault Fiscale?

The receipts you need in June are in a drawer. The oven's warranty is in an envelope somewhere. The dentist's receipt cannot be found at all.

Vault Fiscale keeps them together, and warns you before it is too late.

DEDUCTIBLE EXPENSES
Scan a receipt: the app reads the amount, the date and the shop, and suggests a category — medical, veterinary, school, university, children's sport, mortgage interest, funeral costs and more.

Every field the camera read stays editable, and the app always shows you where a number came from. Correct it and it stops being the app's reading and becomes yours.

It also flags an expense paid in cash: many Italian deductions require a traceable payment, and that is what most often costs people the deduction at the end of the year.

In December you build the folder: one PDF with every receipt of the year, sorted by category, ready to hand to your accountant.

WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
Vault Fiscale does not work out your taxes. It does not fill in your tax return, it does not tell you what you will get back, and it files nothing with any authority. Rates, thresholds and ceilings change every year and depend on your own situation — check those with whoever prepares your return. The app keeps the paperwork in order, readable and findable.

WARRANTIES
Anything you buy can carry its receipt, its warranty, its serial number, its manuals, its repairs and its servicing. One place, for the whole life of the object.

Returns and warranties stay separate, because they are separate: a return window closes in days, a warranty lasts years. Blurring them is the fastest way to lose the one that expires first.

Reminders arrive before a deadline, not the day after.

WARRANTY FOLDER
When something breaks, one tap gathers the receipt, the warranty, the serial number and the documents into a single PDF, ready to show the shop or the service centre.

PRIVACY
No account. No server of ours. Everything you scan stays on your iPhone. No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Text recognition runs on the phone with Apple's Vision framework: no image is uploaded anywhere.

iCloud sync is off until you turn it on, and when it is on it uses your own private iCloud — not ours, because we do not have one.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-09-15

Corrections, and two of them matter.

If you ever deleted the app and installed it again, the unlock code came back with it — but the number of digits did not, so the keypad drew four dots for a six-digit code and would not let you in. A fresh install now starts clean.

And a face added to your iPhone after you turned Face ID on no longer opens the vault. Adding one costs only the iPhone's passcode, which is the door this lock exists to close: now the code is asked for once, and Face ID works again from there.

The rest: Photograph, on an expense with no receipt, opens the camera. The free-plan limit is told to you before you photograph, not after the scan. The receipt survives when you answer "open the existing one" to a possible duplicate. Search says it is searching instead of "nothing found", and admits when iCloud is still downloading. Every product in the save sheet, not the first six. The walkthrough no longer loses its way if your finger lands on the word rather than the circle. And at midnight the tax year turns over even with the app open in your hand.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-14

Empty the vault, in Settings > Space: every receipt, product, document and reminder the app keeps, gone after one warning. It was the one thing you could only do by deleting the app.

Swipe from the left edge to leave a receipt.

The code now covers a form left open: leaving the app and coming back asks for it again, and the app switcher no longer shows what you were writing.

Receipts are read more carefully: a line counting items no longer takes the place of the total.

At the accessibility text sizes the tax screen no longer cuts its figures, and the bar at the bottom stays readable.

And a long list of smaller corrections: reminders that stay put, a claim letter honest about what is attached, a CSV that opens in columns on your accountant's machine.
