Frustrating! ### 2/5 — Good if they fix it *2021-02-01* After the latest update I can’t access the app, it crashes on the PIN screen. I’m using 5th gen iPad. MD ### 2/5 — Big shortcoming *2019-10-16* ...in that only Dropbox cloud backup is supported. Why other cloud services are not available is a mystery. Basic Dropbox gives a miserly 2G and if you need any more at all then you have to pay $120 annually. This severely limits the utility of this app to a 2G effective max on data. Come, on, guys. You can do better than this. ### 4/5 — Touch ID *2019-03-05* Great app but I’m here just to say that you NEED to give us the option to either have Touch ID or not because let’s say someone has their fingerprint on your phone but you don’t want them to have access to the app then it doesn’t matter. They have it either way. Con: you can't pan or zoom in the video viewer. Which means no matter how strong your password is for folder lock it’s only as strong as the 6 digit pin for your iPad / iPhone. I wish I had known this ahead of time I would have purchased a different app. Sure there is the plausible deniability with a fake pin but that would only work if there was a fake entry mode with a different finger print ### 3/5 — Missing some key functions *2017-07-20* Yes, it does store your data and allows for a alpha numerical password. Most app's limit you to only 4 numbers. Good job! Most data I have entered is via the "wallet". I found out that if you title the card incorrectly or need to change the name of the card you can not edit the title. You can edit the fields but not the name. You have to delete and start over. Need edit function here. My biggest issue, and the one that makes me start looking for a new tool is the decoy folder. I can not log into the decoy folder, only the primary folder. I was shocked when I logged into the primary folder and found not only my primary files but starring at me were the files from my hidden folders as well. Not cool! Access to the hidden files should be accessed via a different port or allow me to log into my hidden files via my hidden password. Primary and decoy files should be 100% separate from the phone AND the PC. Fix this issue and I would rate this application with 5*. ### 4/5 — On the whole really good! *2017-05-18* On the whole this app is amazing, with loads of features and great customisability with which ever type of pass code you prefer, for instance Touch ID, pattern, pin and password to secure it and keep your files away from prying eyes! I have only found one issue so far, which is once you have saved a video to the app the video plays locked in portrait mode and won't switch to landscape mode when the phone is turned on its side, if the devs fix this I would be happy to rate 5 stars! Click on error message takes me back to the App Store. **Developer response:** Sorry for the inconvenience, we would like to inform you that this is not an error, it's a feature which is known as "Disguise Mode" and you enabled this feature. Now with latest version on iPhone X and Win10 the app will not upload any files. Tried multiple reinstalls,advanced & advanced pro versions but no success. Also, the app will connect over WiFi with my browsers, but does not recognize a backup PIN when prompted in the Chrome or Edge browsers. I had to resort to omitting touch/Face ID and use only a password to even get the app to open in a browser. Time to move on... (I was able to get the basic Folder Lock app to work appropriately, though ad-saturated. Took a gamble and paid for premium pack, app kept working & ads went away. Too bad I’d paid for the Pro version as well a year or so ago & it’s no good for me now.) ### 1/5 — Price shown ₹300 and charged ₹1100 *2017-12-05* How can you charge like this by misleading the buyer. Don’t waste your time. Asking for a refund from Apple for this. ### 1/5 — Poor UI, files not encrypted, can't download from PC *2017-07-21* I'm a big fan of Folder Lock for Windows, which is the best file encryption software I've found. But this app, and the regular Advanced version, are very disappointing. The UI is confusing and non-intuitive, making it difficult to figure out how to do the simplest operations. I was able to transfer files from my iPad Air 2 to my Windows PC, but could not transfer files from the PC to the iPad -- even after trying every conceivable approach. Although the descriptions for both apps suggest they encrypt files with advanced algorithms, there's no indication they actually do anything more than use the iOS built-in hardware encryption. This is somewhat safe, but my understanding is that someone armed with the unlock password can break it. I have two other apps that layer real 256-bit encryption on files, providing far more security. I paid $3.99 to upgrade the Advanced version, expecting real encryption, but it didn't have it. Then I paid $3.99 for the Pro version, which appears to be identical! ### 1/5 — Does Not Work *2017-02-25* Absolutely no way to transfer files from computer into folder lock. It says to type in an IP address into your computers browser, did that and nothing happens. Using cloud technologies is not always the best thing to use, especially for "sensitive" data. This app solves the security concern by adding another layer of protection via password, pin, etc. Uploading your files to your iDevice from your PC/Mac is a snap, with a built-in web server functionality, that you can easily turn on and off with a switch. Once connected to your personal network,my ou simply connect to the web server via your PC web browser (also connected to the same network) and upload or download what you want from your iDevice very easily. Sharing your files between your multiple iDevices is just as easy. While you have to manually sync your files, doing so is a snap.
