VaultSnap locks your private photos behind AES-256-GCM encryption, biometric authentication, and a PIN you choose. Imported photos and thumbnails are encrypted the instant they enter the vault. They have been corrected rather than left standing. The description promised a size estimate before you import. VaultSnap checks whether the device has room and refuses an import it cannot hold, which is a useful thing, but it is not an estimate shown to you. The description now says what actually happens. It also described the PIN as required alongside Face ID before the vault opens. The PIN is a backup for when biometrics are unavailable, not a second lock stacked on top of them. And it said that anyone reaching your files would see only encrypted data. Your photos and thumbnails are encrypted files.
