## What is Vazhe?

Vazhe (واژه — "word") bridges Finglish and Persian — both directions, instantly and entirely on your device.

Type "salam chetori" and get سلام چطوری. Or paste Persian script and read it back in Finglish. Works offline, no account, no waiting.

READS BOTH WAYS
One Translate screen, a swap button to flip direction:
• Finglish → Persian: type Persian the way you already type it in Latin letters, and get the script — with ranked alternatives if the first guess is off.
• Persian → Finglish: paste a Persian message and read it in Latin letters you can sound out — for anyone who speaks Persian but doesn't read the script.

RANKED SUGGESTIONS, NOT GUESS-AND-PRAY
Vazhe shows its best guess plus ranked alternatives for every phrase. First suggestion off? The right one is usually a tap away. And when Vazhe has no confident reading for a word, it says so honestly and keeps your spelling — your text is never silently mangled.

A KEYBOARD THAT SPEAKS BOTH
The optional Vazhe keyboard suggests Persian as you type Finglish in any app — space accepts, or tap an alternative from the bar. English words are left alone, so you can write mixed messages naturally. Misspelled English gets corrections too. Emoji included.

PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY PROMISE
• The keyboard never connects to the internet — iOS itself guarantees it, because Vazhe never asks for "Full Access"
• Your typing never leaves your device — translation and suggestions all run on-device, even in airplane mode
• No history, no logs, no analytics, no ads, no account
• The only time the app goes online is if you choose to send feedback — and even then it sends just your message, never what you've typed

FOR EVERYONE WHO LIVES BETWEEN TWO ALPHABETS
Texting family, reading their messages, writing to friends, posting — if you think in Persian, Vazhe bridges the script both ways without changing how you type.

Vazhe is an assistive tool: it offers readable suggestions, instantly and privately — not a perfect converter. That honesty is the design.

### 5/5 — Educational & Effective

*2026-06-17*

Seriously such an educational way to convert your fingilish thoughts into real Farsi words! As someone who only has up to 3rd grade Farsi education, this app is so helpful to communicate in Farsi and strengthen the language for myself!

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-07-27

The biggest Vazhe update yet.

UNDERSTAND, NOT JUST CONVERT
Tap any word in Read or Translate to see what it means — definitions, real usage examples, nuance notes, common expressions, and memory hooks that help it stick.

A KEYBOARD THAT LEARNS YOUR WORDS
Words you keep now surface first. Add your own My Words pairs and Snippets. Everything stays on your device: learning is a toggle you control, and you can clear or export it anytime. Colloquial verb forms like "migzaroonim" now come out right, and suggestions recover from small typos.

A NEW LOOK
A brighter Persian-inspired design throughout — and a Nastaliq chip that shows any translation in calligraphic script. Persian digits are now an option.

AND MORE
Caps lock, spacebar cursor control, a dedicated half-space key, swipe-to-type for English words, in-app feedback — plus many fixes to punctuation, word joining, and autocorrect.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-01

Send feedback, Persian numerals, and Read mode improvements.

• New: Send feedback right from the app — report a bug or a wrong reading in one tap. It goes straight to the developer, and never includes anything you've typed.
• New: Persian numerals — turn on "Persian digits" in Settings to type ۰–۹ instead of 0–9.
• Read mode now handles more verb forms, including conjugated and formal conjugations that didn't always come through in 1.1.
• Punctuation carries through when you Translate: type "salam chetori?" and the result keeps the ؟ exactly where it belongs.
• Hundreds of additional Persian names and words now read correctly in both directions.
• The result panel surfaces more alternate readings for common homographs — so the right reading is usually a tap away even when the first guess isn't quite right.
• Accessibility and reliability: larger Dynamic Type support, VoiceOver improvements, and fixes throughout.

The keyboard is still fully offline — it never connects, and your typing never leaves your device.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-25

Read mode — Vazhe now goes both ways.

  • Paste Persian script and read it back in Finglish you can sound out — for anyone who speaks Persian but doesn't read the script.
  • Convert and Read now live in one Translate screen — tap the swap button to flip direction.
  • Cleaner, redesigned layout.

As always: fully offline, nothing stored, your text never leaves your device.

### 1.0 — 2026-06-17
