We’ve recently expanded the free version of VCP so you can now create a free account and access pricing for supported TCG cards without an in-app purchase. A paid membership is still required for our full pricing database and additional collector tools, but we’re continuing to expand what members can do for free. ### 1/5 — Subscription *2024-05-17* Will not let me see my collection. Says I have to pay for a monthly subscription. Can’t even access my account. **Developer response:** Hi. You can see your collection regardless of whether you pay or not. Thanks. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2023-06-21* Do not ever get this app it makes you pay $18 I don’t know if you can get past it but don’t buy this app. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. VCP now offers a free membership with pricing for supported TCG cards, so a paid subscription is not required to use the app. Paid membership is optional and unlocks our full pricing database and additional collector tools. ### 2/5 — Could be good but not there yet *2026-03-07* This app does a great job giving card value, but it’s just not very user friendly. If you don’t type the card into the search the exact way it wants it will not find your card. The search results might be the most frustrating part of the app. If you click the wrong card and hit back you have to redo the entire search again as well. The app constantly makes you login. My App Store says the app hasn’t been updated in 3 years and it kind of feels like that. It’s great for referencing card prices, but for how much it costs a month I’m not sure I’ll be keeping it much longer. **Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback. You’re right that search should be more forgiving and that having to redo a search after viewing the wrong card is frustrating. We’ve recently resumed actively updating the app and have released several new versions with improvements and new features, including changes that directly address some of the issues you mentioned. That has changed, VCP now allows free members to scan supported TCG cards and access their pricing without a paid subscription. A paid membership is only required for additional card categories and premium features. ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2022-08-02* Having to log in between searches is beyond frustrating. If you’re only looking up one card the app is great, but if you’re going through a stack, it’s easier to just search eBay directly. Interestingly enough it doesn’t happen every time. I reached out to app support and never received a response. The app is not worth the spendy monthly subscription. **Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback. Was at the Dallas card show and the app kept freezing and pulling up incorrect cards. Every time I do a search and need to go back it resets and asks for me to enter (3) words and it starts my search over. It’s so close to being good, but not worth the subscription right now until it’s fixed. **Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback. Why am I being forced to log back in between cards? **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. You should not have to log back in between viewing cards. Please update to the latest version, and if it still happens, contact us at admin@vintagecardprices.com so we can investigate it directly. ### 4/5 — Best Resource out There *2026-07-05* VCP is easily the best resource for quickly pricing cards. It’s saved me a lot of money and mistakes quite frankly over time. The UX/UI could use some work but once you get the hang of the nuance to it, it’s not that bad. I love the collection feature and being able to click on any card in your collection once added to see the most recent sale price points. It’s a very useful tool overall. ## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best *2026-08-15* All the other apps are fake and junk. VCP is the only one that truly works. Great for scanning in cards and getting values and great images. It organizes collections with your costs and real valuations. I would love to move my 1,000+ cards in the PSA registry in to VCP. I know PSA has a data export function; could VCP allow for the import of the same data? For long time collectors the price paid for a card is often long forgotten.
