## What is VCxchange?

Exchange contact data with friends and colleagues directly from this App with a single click.

Using VCARD-SQ-codes directly displayed on your screen you can safely and directly exchange contact data. They can be scanned directly into your companion's phone's address book. 
No network needed, your data stays on your device and is only visible to the people you currently interact with.

All functions are easy to reach:
- Display any contact as VCARD-QR-code by tapping it in the table display, It can be scanned and imported using another device with the same App installed.
- Scan any VCARD Barcode (printed or on a screen) using your device's built in camera by tapping on the QR-symbol.
- Scan printed business cards with character recognition and quickly assign the fields of a new contact.
- Full text search in all contacts / filtering by groups supported.
- Your "own" contact will be saved and marked for quick access by taping on the person-symbol (automatic detection or manuall selection using long press on any contact on the screen).
- Duplicates are detected after scanning and can be merged with existing contact data. New and changed fields are added. 
- Scanned contacts can be edited before saving them to your address book.

- Better performance when launching due to background read of contacts for table display
- Better detection of duplicates comparing phone numbers and email addresses, the popup shows which fields were duplicates
