Can only use demo mode. ### 4/5 — Much has changed *2025-03-18* This app has changed significantly over the past view years. While I still can’t open a VWX file, I can do a number of things related to capturing existing conditions while on site. There are so many options including photos to 3D and Room Plan. And let’s be real, why would I open a full Vectorworks file on my phone or iPad mini? I don’t need all that. While I haven’t had a use of the 3D viewer just yet, I can myself pulling this up to have a quick conversation with a client when at a lunch meeting. I’m waiting for support of review/markups that I can send back to Vectorworks much like what I can do on the cloud web portal. That will make this app even more useful. **Developer response:** As of September 2016, everyone is allowed to register for a free non-subscription account to use Vectorworks Cloud Services. Although, the cloud rendering-specific capabilities are only available to Vectorworks Service Select subscribers. ### 4/5 — Impressive *2024-05-19* I can believe how accurate this app scanned 90m2 flat floor plan… the import process and how easy you can work with the data is impressive to say the least. Some of the features in the app doesn’t work but I think that will get fixed with time This app will sort you out for indoor survey without a doubt … ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-04-29* Was great when it worked, now just crashes all the time. It won’t allow me to add them back either. I love this app, please don’t die Nomad. ### 1/5 — If I were Vectorworks I’d be ashamed of this *2023-08-12* It’s a Vectorworks app that can’t open a Vectorworks file! So any notes I add will be on a .pdf file, not in my .vwx file! So I need two different files because I went to the job site to check a measurement? I can already mark up pdf files on my iPad with other apps, more elegantly and with less effort than this! If i’m showing a project in 3D, I’ll use my portable computer in vwx. Not with this. A problem in search of a solution showing a real lack of understanding by the devs. This should open .vwx files, at least simple ones, and let me do field editing when checking dimensions etc. It could create a .nomad layer or something so I could not mess anything up, but could use my edits once the file was on my computer. ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2023-02-02* Hopeless app. Spent 15minutes creating account, linking iCloud Drive and adding a Vectorworks file to my shared area. Onlly receive a message ‘Vectoworks files cannot be opened in Nomad’. Ludicrous adn no mention of this in the all description. Why on earth would I get this crap app to open a PDF?? Man wünscht sich einen einfachen Viewer, mit dem man problemlos durch seine vwx-Dateien browsen und gelegentlich ein Maß nehmen kann. Das müsste doch lösbar sein! Diese eigentlich sehr wichtige App muss dringend komplett überholt werden. Liebe Entwickler, nehmt bei den jährlichen Updates von vwx auch mal das Stiefkind Nomad unter die Lupe. The scan feature in Nomad can assist in expediting this process, and the quickly generated file acts as a reliable backstop if I ever need to check dimensions.
