Some have closed over 3-4 years ago ! I don't believe the app is ever updated. It also shows many restaurants that serve meat as well as veg dishes - which most restaurants do , do what the point of trying to create an app that is marketed as pure vegetation? ### 3/5 — Amazing app and content, but is always tracking you *2016-10-30, version 2.1* As a vegetarian, this is a great app to have around. Sadly I deleted it knowing that the app requires you to always be tracked through location services. There is no way around this. The developer needs to fix this to allow for location services to be on when using the app only. Give your customers the choice of being consistently followed. It feels like you are selling off our data otherwise. ### 2/5 — C'mon. We really need this. *2016-10-18, version 2.1* The "upcoming" section hasn't been updated since 2013. If I could, I would beg the developer to either get motivated again, or sell this app to someone who will completely transform it into what it needs to be. This is such a helpful tool, it just needs to be revamped and constantly checked on. I use it every time I want to try out a new vegan restaurant. But since the new update... I can't even open the app!! It just shows me the main screen but then crashes!!! A lot of the information is outdated, lots of restaurants both vegetarian and vegan are not listed, it is very difficult to search for places in the uk and England and seems to be a lot more suited to America. Has potential but until it gets considerably better I shall be sticking with happycow, although not free (I think it's about a £1) it's totally worth it and I'd be lost without it, I'd urge others to do the same (especially uk based people). ### 2/5 — Not quite ready *2013-01-12, version 1.0.1* I managed to get myself to a place in the app where my only option to escape was to suggest a new eatery. Please, use miles *2012-12-14, version 1.0.1* All places are listed with kilometers for distance. This should be offered in miles. No one uses km in USA. ### 2/5 — Not Useful *2012-09-06, version 1.0.1* This app has the same problem as the other vegan and vegetarian restaurant locating apps - the database is VERY sparse. I live in a town of 300,000 people with many restaurants with vegan entrees, but this app suggested one Smoothie King and that was it! The rest of the suggestions were 100+ km away, and most of them were Smoothie King stores! At least I didn't pay three bucks for this app, like I did for the other one. These app developers need to take a tip from all of the great websites that provide a framework and allow the users to provide and update the data. Only then will this be a useful tool, like the vegan restaurant finding version of Wikipedia. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not helpful *2018-06-28, version 3.1.3* I downloaded this app with the hopes of finding vegan options in the city I just moved to. When I seared my zip code, it only came up with Smoothie King. Just because other restaurants aren’t vegan does not mean they do not have vegan options, which is what I was hoping would come up. This is a good idea but could use much improvement. ### 1/5 — Not great *2017-06-27, version 2.1* Second time. This is not a great app. Searching was a struggle. I can't even see the results because the search bar suggestions cover it. If you want to know where the Mellow Mushroom is in any given city---this is the app for you. Allows users to add places but not delete them. Not very good when a place morphs into a meat joint!!!! Doesn't allow additional reviews either.
