### 4/5 — Very impressive makes life easier

*2023-07-04, version 1.3.1*

When I purchased this app, I thought it could be some garbage app, but I was wrong. As soon as I downloaded the app, I tested the app on my family. It really revealed all the blood vessels in our arms, legs, etc. it even showed where my wife blown out blood vessel the nurse screwed up on when she drew blood from my wife. I plan to let my wife use my phone with this app when she gets her blood drawn. So I’ll be updating this as this app gets used (tested).

I have it 4 stars because it was a tiny difficult to use. You really need to play with it you really get the right scan you need.

### 4/5 — Not bad

*2023-04-24, version 1.3.1*

It does a pretty good job in seeing the veins. I find it is still hard to see the veins that are deep that aren’t readily visible to the naked eye. But helps to see how straight the veins are on the forearms.

### 1/5 — horrible and robbery

*2023-02-24, version 1.3.1*

i downloaded the app and it took $6.99 off of my card 5 times within a few minutes and after i locked my card it tried takin it again it's robbery i want all my money back no stars

### 1/5 — app crashed

*2023-01-20, version 1.3*

This application was extraordinary and very useful until the moment they updated to the new version, at the moment it is completely useless, I hope that they correct these flaws and while they return to the previous version since it cannot be used as a working tool in the current form

### 1/5 — December 2022 Update

*2022-12-28, version 1.3*

Had no problem using the app before the update. Now I can hardly discern the patients gown from their arm. Please revisit capabilities of camera. The only other thing I can think of is it might be better with the room lights off but that’s not feasible when toggling from IV to camera. This isn’t the first time I had wished for a third arm. Hope this helps

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-11-03, version 1.2*

Doesn’t work on iPhone 14 pro. Doesn’t show vein at all

### 3/5 — Didn’t work for me

*2022-10-26, version 1.2*

This did not work for me. Maybe it’s my phone. I have an IPhone XR. I downloaded vein scanner instead and it seems like it works.

### 1/5 — Muito ruim

*2022-07-28*

Não vale a pena comprar

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-07-17, version 1.2*

It’s just making pictures in dark colors. Nothing else. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Waste of money!

*2022-05-09, version 1.2*

I took the risk and paid the $5.99 USD and of course it’s just a scam… should be a way to get a refund if you haven’t had the app for more than 30 minutes!!! B.S!!!!!

### 1/5 — Zero

*2022-05-07, version 1.2*

You cannot see anything but blurry images. Absolutely no vein or anything clear. If I saw something clear then I’d give it a good rating but you see contrast blurr. I adjusted the contrast and it was like playing with a kids camera. This didn’t work for me.

### 1/5 — totally useless. does not work at all. pure scam

*2022-04-01, version 1.2*

this app does not show any veins at all
just shows a black and white image of your arm etc
totally useless
pure scam
i dont understand how does apple let such fake apps into appstore

### 1/5 — Just looks like a Instagram filter

*2022-01-10, version 1.2*

no distinct veins appearing any more then they they would have if it was just a regular back and white filter. played with settings for 3 hours and got nothing.

### 2/5 — Only works with certain body parts

*2021-12-11, version 1.2*

Tried to use it on my legs and its a waste of money: It works only works in areas of your forearm that are not covered or obstructed by hair. If you are hairy then this app will not work in that particular area. And if your veins are in a area where you have thick skin then it doesn't work. It worked in both arms. Wish I could get my money back, I only used it for 5 minutes.

### 1/5 — VeinSeekPro

*2021-12-04*

Как не старался, но Вены так через это приложение не нашёл

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-03-22, version 1.3.2*

This app is useless & it doesn’t show anything Eve if you tried different ways
It’s a scam

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-10-03, version 1.3.2*

Terrible, I need a refund. This is worst than the free versions

### 1/5 — NO

*2024-08-08, version 1.3.2*

Don’t buy doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Please refund me

*2024-04-24, version 1.3.2*

I tried this on myself and a half dozen friends inside outside at night with similar results and unfortunately all of them were negative. This app does not work well at all. At very least it should be able to enhance red and blue or green but it just seems to be grayscale and control the flashlight on my phone please refund my purchase and once it gets developed better I am willing to take a look again

### 1/5 — 😳

*2024-03-22*

Nicht zu gebrauchen Pixel keine Vene erkennbar

### 1/5 — My own eyes are better than this!

*2024-03-08, version 1.3.2*

Downloaded on the recommendation from another professional. Either the app has changed or it’s just no good. I have transparent skin and it doesn’t pick up anything but sun damage maybe. Easier to find veins the old fashioned way

### 1/5 — Disappointing not one vein found

*2024-01-18, version 1.3.2*

I downloaded this with high hopes. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, just a blank screen.

### 1/5 — Utter RUBBISH

*2023-10-29, version 1.3.1*

Complete waste of money - why on earth is Apple allowing something this useless to be sold in their App Store!!??

### 1/5 — No funciona

*2023-09-24, version 1.3.1*

Lo compre y no funciona, ayuda

### 1/5 — Difficult IV starts

*2023-03-07, version 1.3.1*

I had such hope for this app over a traditional vein finder. It does not adequately illuminate veins on a difficult to stick subject. It does show superficial veins in areas virtually void of subcutaneous tissue. For accessing those veins, I can palpate and visualize without the app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best tool ever

*2024-08-14, version 1.3.2*

I have been using this since 2014. It’s the best app for blood draws. You just have to know how to use it

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-09-08, version 1.3.1*

It does work! Amazed! ER nurse that has used it a lot.

### 5/5 — This app is Great, Very Handy

*2023-04-24, version 1.3.1*

I am a med surg nurse and saw this app on an icu nurse’s phone during a pull. Since then I got the app and have gotten a total of 10 IVs in about a months time on people who were a “hard stick”. This app does work well in most situations and helps you find and visualize veins for IVs to prevent over-sticking patients. It’s also helpful to use it with a friend to both look and find the veins and to palpate them. I recommend this app to any healthcare workers who do venipuncture from time to time.

### 5/5 — App crashes past 2 weeks- please fix the issue

*2023-02-15, version 1.3.1*

As a clinical aesthetics nurse I’ve used this app to find leg veins for years and it has worked great!

### 5/5 — Very helpful!!

*2022-02-27, version 1.2*

Have always been a hard stick but I can’t spot veins more clearly now. Hope it’s helps me save some sticks!!

### 5/5 — Great app. Not perfect but helpful.

*2021-03-04, version 1.2*

This app makes use of the phone’s ability to “see” infrared (heat). It’s no panacea but works well.

### 5/5 — Costs less than your lunch will today.

*2020-10-28, version 1.2*

So from time to time in the back of the boo boo bud I struggle to get a vein on the unstable patient that is circling the drain.

About 3 years ago I was drinking one night and stumbled across the vein seek app. I down loaded it, it cost me $4.99. I played with it at home for a little while and thought it was pretty cool. Still not sure how it works. So after a few months I picked up one of the above described pts. I stuck and stuck and stuck some more. I finally remembered I had that app, might as well give it a try, being as my pt was about to die, everything was worth a try. Sure enough I turned it on, adjusted the contrast, and boom, all the close to surface veins lit up. I sunk a 24g IV into one of the biggest veins I would find and ended up getting the pt stable enough to transport.

I’ve used this app on multiple hard sticks since. I’ve even broke it out in the er to help them out on multiple occasions. So to all my fellow providers, here’s a tool that you will always have on you and I highly recommend buying it. It may very well save your pts life.

### 5/5 — Very impressed

*2020-03-29, version 1.2*

I was pleasantly surprised with this app. I do acute home visits and this cheap app helped me feel confident and find veins on a few patients that I would have probably not been able to get. It doesn’t show the vein if it’s very deep but if I barely feel a vein or think I might feel one, a lot of time this would me feel confident if it is a vein or not. Great tool!

### 5/5 — Vale a pena

*2019-03-30*

Auxilia bastante no dia a dia

### 5/5 — Better than expected!

*2019-01-05*

I’m a paramedic and was looking for a cheap alternative to a vein finder for patients that are “hard sticks”. I just downloaded this and I’ve been using it to look at veins on myself and my partner and it seems awesome! I’ll admit that I wasn’t expecting much from an app, but this app already exceeds my expectations. It’s not magic and I don’t expect it to show every single vein, but it DOES show veins on my arm that I cannot see. And on veins I can see, it shows which direction the vein goes. I have not yet used it for starting an IV, but I will definitely be using it as it will be nice to have a place to start on patients where you can’t seem to find anything. I imagine this will (at the very least) give a good idea of where to start. I also see this being useful when you miss an IV and the vein feels like it’s right next to the needle to potentially save the IV and save the patient from another IV stick.
