## What is Vela?

Vela is a creative AI storytelling app for interactive conversations with fictional characters. Explore original worlds, discover distinct voices, and help each story unfold one message at a time.

DISCOVER INTERACTIVE STORIES

Explore fictional characters and scenarios across mystery, science fiction, adventure, and everyday fiction. Save your favorites and return to your stories whenever you want.

CREATE YOUR OWN CHARACTERS

Build a fictional character with a name, personality, setting, opening line, and conversation style. Add a visual identity, keep drafts private, or publish a character for the community to discover.

CHAT AND CREATE

Have ongoing conversations with fictional AI characters. Guide the direction of each story, adjust the tone and pace, and explore new possibilities through creative writing.

BUILD YOUR ORBIT

Complete quests and daily activities to earn Petals. Use Petals to continue conversations and create new characters. Manage your profile, saved characters, chats, privacy, language, and appearance settings in one place.

SAFETY AND TRANSPARENCY

Vela provides fictional AI experiences, not real people or professional advice. Do not share sensitive personal information. You can report or block characters and creators. User-created content may vary and is subject to our Community Guidelines and review.
