## What is Vela?

Vela — Product Tracking for Hairstylists

Every stylist knows the feeling: you finish a beautiful balayage, charge $180 for it, and have no real idea how much of that you just spent on product. The color, the lightener, the toner, the bond builder — it all comes out of your pocket, and most stylists are guessing.

Vela turns that guesswork into real numbers.

Track product cost per client
Log the products you use at each appointment. Vela calculates the exact cost and shows you your profit based on your own markup.

See your real numbers
Your dashboard shows what you've made, what you've spent, and your product profit — by week or month.

Manage your inventory
Your shelf updates automatically as you log. Vela flags what's running low so you're never caught short or overbuying.

Keep client records
Every client gets a profile with their appointment history, formulas, notes, and before-and-after photos — all in one place.

Built for the chair
Fast, clean, and designed around the one thing that matters: knowing your numbers.

Whether you're renting your first chair or running a full book, Vela helps you price with confidence, buy smarter, and finally know your numbers.

Vela Free — 10 appointments free.
Vela Pro — unlimited, $9.99/month or $79.00/year.

### 5/5 — SAVES ME SO MUCH MONEY

*2026-09-19*

I have loved using Vela to keep track of my clients’ appointments and all of my product costs. It’s helped me charge accordingly for each appointment, so I’m not losing money or wasting product! I love being able to track my clients’ formulas and appointment notes WITH photos. This app literally does it all and helps my business behind the chair so much, as an independent hairstylist.

**Developer response:** We're so glad you're loving it!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-25

Fixes an issue where some Vela Pro subscribers weren't recognized after purchasing or restoring. Your Pro access now unlocks reliably, and Restore Purchases gives clearer feedback. Plus stability improvements.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-24

Critical Bug fixes and performance improvements. Products can now be removed from your shelf even when they have appointment history. Subscription fixes.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-24

Faster inventory, less tapping.

• Mark a bottle empty in one tap — no more editing amounts by hand. Use "Used a bottle" when you finish one, or "Mark all empty" when you're out.
• Set reorder alerts by bottle count, not just amount. Because "I have one bottle left" is easier than doing gram math.
• Set a full container size on each product so your shelf stays accurate as you go.
• Fixed an issue that could prevent some stylists from upgrading. Sorry about that — it's sorted.

Keep the feedback coming. A lot of this came straight from stylists like you.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-21

### 1.0 — 2026-09-18
