App sucks. Throwing bulbs in the trash. ### 1/5 — Not stable *2025-10-31, version 1.3.2* Setting up the flame bulb is not intuitive. Flip on and off multiple times? That’s silly. Bug in the iOS software- 1. Install app and login 2. Attempts to connect to bulb WiFi 3. Connection fails 4. Close app. 5. Reopen app- app gives errors and will hang. 6. Seriously, just add a button or something. ### 2/5 — The bulb works great — but no Google home link? *2025-02-15, version 1.1.0* The bulbs looks and works as expected with one exception. There doesn’t seem to be a way to link their app to Google home (Alexa instructions are provided in their app) but Google doesn’t seem to recognize the app for adding any reliable automation. I only use Google home for automation and this bulb declares that it works with Google but I can’t really see that it does. ### 4/5 — Had issues connecting originally but seems to be fixed now *2025-01-22, version 1.1.0* Excited to see how the app grows and changes ### 5/5 — Learn curve but works great so far *2025-01-15, version 1.1.0* I admit the pairing function took a bit to understand and it took a bit to get it to work but after my lights were paired with the wifi they are looking wonderful! Absolutely obsessed 🥰 ### 5/5 — Awesome lightbulbs! *2024-12-31, version 1.0.0* I love my velaflame bulbs! They look amazing and I love that I am able to control them with my phone. It seems like there are a few bugs with the app—I couldn’t get the scheduling feature to work and it doesn’t look like there’s a preset to get back to the default natural flame color—but I’m sure all of the will be fixed in updates. Overall I’m very happy with my velaflame bulbs! ### 1/5 — Can’t even pair, the app keeps crashing ): *2024-12-29* Will update when fixed but for now I can’t use my light at all **Developer response:** This issue has been fixed with the latest version (1.1.0). Once I got the bulbs connected, the app worked great. You need to make sure to get the bulbs in the purple mode by turning off for a few seconds, turning on for a few seconds, and repeating 3 or 4 times.
