VeloBot is a free app, but it offers a monthly subscription that makes you a VeloBot member, and allows saving your rides and ride history in the cloud.  A trial version of this membership is enabled in all new accounts, but does not transition to the paid version unless you explicitly choose to do so.

This price applies to United States residents. Prices may vary in other countries respecting your local currency exchange rate. Your subscription will be charged to your Apple ID account. At the end of the term, your subscription will automatically renew. You will be charged for the regular price of your subscription within 24 hours prior to the end of the current term. You can cancel your subscription auto-renewal in the Apple ID subscription settings at any time, but you must do so at least 24 hours before the end of the current term. Refunds will not be provided for the unused portion of any term.

I pair this app with a cheap handlebar mount and use it for navigation with free trail maps like MTB Project. The big smart phone screen is easy to see when mountain biking. It connects to my heart tracker so I can see my heart rate. This thing has a lot of horsepower I don’t even use. It also pairs with a power meter if you have those kind of pedals. OpenStreetMap has all the road maps you would ever want. Overall very impressed, especially for the price.
