This app is just one of many examples of how great they are. The current version provides everything thing needed for electronic banking and management of my financial portfolio. The IT team have hit a home run again!!! ### 1/5 — Needs a new IT Department *2026-04-29, version 11.0.251100* This is the worst bank app I have ever used. It use to work fine until they updated it. Now I cannot even take a pic of a check to deposit w/o going to full screen mode whatever that means. There is no full screen mode in the app. The real kicker is the way that they force you to change by making the app NOT WORK. No notification. No warning. No explanation. Just make the customer figure it out! This is the second time this month that they did this. Maybe they are so big now they don't care if you bank with them or not. I heard UFCU app was better ### 1/5 — No real security!! *2026-01-14, version 11.0.251100* Update: I already tried the steps listed in the developer response. They do not work! Maybe it’s because they have a very limited and outdated list of cell carriers to choose from? (Virgin mobile no longer does business in the USA and neither of my carriers is on the list) Original: Customers are no longer allowed to know the balances of their accounts without having work for it. Nor will they ever be notified how much is debited or credited when it occurs. The most anyone is told in the useless notifications is that a debit/credit over $X (the # set) happened recently to the account with the last two digits XX, or that the balance for account ending in XX is over/under/exactly $X. You will also never get the non-information in texts as requested, only push notices that you cannot keep and refer back to. We already have to memorize our member number; we should not have to also memorize five (or more) other longer numbers!! The app and notifications used to be useful. Whoever designed the “improvements” must be addicted to tinder (or other dating apps) because we now have to swipe a lot in order to see our accounts - they are no longer just there on the Home Screen/first screen immediately after logging in. Velocity seems to be trying to make us work for our information and wants us to keep logging in all day every day to find out anything. Calls to them are useless because they will not let us talk to tech support. The first tier “customer support” insists on being an intermediary. Deleting and reinstalling the app fixed it. *2025-03-04, version 7.0.5909* For those who have constant crashing when opening the app, delete it and reinstall it. That fixed the issue for me. The constant crashing was annoying, but as long as reinstalling fixed, I should be ok. Hope it doesn’t do it again. ### 1/5 — Actually broken *2025-02-24, version 7.0.5909* I saw a review where velocity responded and they said they were actively working on it and I last tried to use it back in november if not earlier yet nothing has changed. The bank also no longer uses zelle. It feels like they aren't doing good business. Its so disingenuous to say its being worked on when it hasn't worked for this long. ### 1/5 — Won’t even open anymore *2025-01-27, version 7.0.5909* This used to work for the basics I need. Don’t need lots of bells and whistles. But now it won’t even open. It’s been broken for months. And the website doesn’t have the same functionality. So mobile deposit is completely offline. They need to fix it asap. ### 1/5 — Broken *2025-01-23, version 7.0.5909* This app has been completely broken and unable to even open for months and the best they’ve got is “a fix is coming”? Last update 4 months ago. Really prioritizing customer experience. Especially great when they push you to stay a customer even when you leave the Austin area because “mobile banking and we’re in the co-op!” Well now mobile banking is broken and there’s no indication they actually mean to fix it. This combined with arbitrary limits on my own access to my own money at a shared branch (even though they claim “full access to your funds at any co-op location”) are the reason I’m leaving Velocity. I’m 37 years old I do not need my credit union parcelling out my own money to me like I’m a 16 year old with an allowance. Their arbitrary transaction limit at shared branches almost cost me my home purchase. ### 1/5 — Please fix! *2025-01-04, version 7.0.5909* App currently does not work.
