It does fall short when identifying ID’s from the UK and will glitch and get stuck on the “passport” screen, but preforming a hard reset usually does the trick. Users must realize this is just a tool to streamline the process of age verification and not a substitute for common sense methods and f verification. ### 5/5 — Knight Guardian *2023-09-24* This is the best app ever . Over the summer, we offered the option for our customers to order from us directly through our website for contactless deliveries. We needed a way to ensure that no one receiving our alcohol delivery was under the age of 21. We looked around for ID scanning apps and found Vēmos. TBH I was skeptical of all the app but gave it a shot. Super easy to use. My whole team had access and I could easily see when deliveries had been made since the app tracks when IDs are scanned. It could even scan through windows so we never came in contact with our customers! Since our need for the app was temporary, I contacted Vēmos customer support to let them know I wanted to cancel the subscription. They were very friendly and understanding of my businesses needs. If I ever need an app like this again, I will turn to Vēmos! ### 5/5 — Best I’d scan I’ve used *2020-03-07* I run a bar and have been looking for a good is scanning system to streamline our process. Thanks for helping me verify ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Garbage since the last update *2026-08-14* The last update killed this app. It used to be great but now it just doesn’t work anymore— the ID scans take 4 or 5 times to actually go through (wasting my precious time and annoying customers), the interface is no longer user friendly for practical bar use (you have to click an extra button every time you want to scan an ID), and also now, you have to pay extra money for “premium” features for adjusting absolute basic settings (like turning the haptic sounds off?). DO NOT RELY ON IT TO FIND FAKE IDS. Scanned 30 fakes into the app and it all verified them as good. Deleted right away. It’s been a huge help with keeping guests accountable for their actions with a city wide ban list and we have even had some come back and apologize for their actions.
