Terrible by today’s standards. I hate pre pay car charging too. Totally unnecessary money grab. ### 1/5 — 0 stars, awful app, awful charging *2025-04-14, version 1.2.5* Charging fails every time with telling you why it fails. Then when you figure out why it’s not charging (you need to add credit) it starts a charge and tells you it’s charging fine. Only for you to come back to your car to find it’s not charged at all. Center parcs should choose a different charging provider. ### 1/5 — Dire *2025-03-25, version 1.2.5* Just didn’t work. Error after error. ### 1/5 — Problem! *2025-03-21, version 1.2.5* Each time I have used VendEkectric (twice) PowerYoga have also taken a payment and signed me up to a subscription. I managed to get a refund last time and am in the process of trying the second time. It’s extremely annoying and if I cannot find a way of stopping this I will have to delete the VendElectric app. ### 1/5 — Nothing work *2025-03-17, version 1.2.5* The app doesn’t work, the chargers rarely work, overall terrible experience. It logged me out, ‘change password’ doesn’t work, and I have money in their account so it’s basically withholding funds whilst also not letting me charge. ### 1/5 — Poor chargers always offline *2025-02-17, version 1.2.5* Added £15 to the wallet to add around 30kwh to my car. Firstly the charger was offline in the app and the site had to reboot them to get them online. Once I finally got the app talking to the charger the car stopped charging after putting in 9kwh. The charger then dropped offline again. Luckily you can withdraw the funds on the app back to your bank account and fine a more reliable charger. ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-02-12, version 1.2.5* This app is not fit for purpose, took the money from my account but doesn’t appear in the balance. I wouldn’t bother with these chargers, go elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Never works - just takes your money *2025-01-21, version 1.2.5* The biggest EV charging scam in the UK. Criminal activity sanctioned by the app stores. I had been double charged as you have to pre pay a set amount on the app before plugging your car in. Then there was continuous issues with the app connecting to the charging station so I couldn’t even charge my vehicle! The help line is useless as they are only open Monday to Friday and no reply on emails either. Added a heap of stress onto a weekend that should have been relaxing. If I could give 0 stars I would! ### 1/5 — As functional as airlines during Covid *2024-10-21, version 1.2.5* I have only given this app one star because it is impossible to give fewer and still leave a review. This is without a shadow of a doubt the most useless, most infuriating App ever created. It does not serve its basic purpose and the repeated need to enter every element of your personal details each time it crashes is like a living nightmare. I can’t even figure out how to contact your support as none of the options on the support page relate to account or app support. Please allow users that no longer use your app or chargers to delete their accounts. Very poor app and poor support options ### 1/5 — How to annoy your customers *2025-06-17, version 1.2.5* Charged my card £15 three times for a total of £45 and didn’t apply any of the credit to my account so unable to charge at Center Parcs. Not responsive when requesting the money back so going to have to do chargebacks. Quite literally the worst EV charging company I have ever used. Center Parcs need to replace them with someone who actually cares about their customers. ### 1/5 — VendElectric have no interest in their customers *2025-05-24, version 1.2.5* I really don't know how this company is still in business. There chargers never work. You contact them to tell them the charger is not working and they are not interested. One charger was not working for six months. I contacted them 22 times and then it worked for 20 days and stopped working again. They have no interest in their customers as shown when you speak to them over the phone ### 1/5 — Center Parcs Fixing Issues *2025-05-22, version 1.2.5* So many 1-star reviews! Ouch. Good news is that Center Parcs are changing providers and will move to Monta from late June 2025. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-05-10, version 1.2.5* Various problems. 1 doesn’t show charge points on the map, but enter the location or the Chargepoint number and it shows on the list. 2 trying to use the QR code caused the app to hang.with a blank screen of death. 3 Chargepoint appears to be ok but shows as unavailable on the app even though someone is charging successfully. 4. Doesn’t connect to charge when I try through the app. 5. No support available outside office hours if you can find a number to call. Odd, because I’ve been successful in the past, but only after similar angst. The only function that seems to work smoothly is taking your money to build your credit on your account. ### 1/5 — Nothing but hassle. *2025-05-07, version 1.2.5* If your at whinfell centre parcs and have issues like I had getting the app/charge point to work just wait till after 11pm and it should work fine. ### 1/5 — Centre Parcs Longleat *2025-04-20, version 1.2.5* Abysmal. Spoke to others who were having similar issues. And when paying 49p kWh it makes the move to electric pretty much inefficient. I’m not sure if they are just empty posts with no electronics 😂 The app isn’t helpful to identify what is working and what isn’t. Gah, it’s frustrating ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Worked Perfectly *2024-08-13, version 1.2.5* Whinfell Center Parcs - worked with no issues at all. Charged overnight to car-defined limit. Remember to start charging session on the app and then plug in to the car. Solid blue light on the charger indicates that it’s ready to charge after 11/11:30 pm. ### 5/5 — Worked fine! *2024-02-25, version 1.2.5* Needed to download this app to charge at Whinfell Center Parcs. Was slightly concerned by the reviews, especially as it’s the first time I’ve charged away from home so I’m a novice with charging apps and the public charging network. However it worked absolutely fine. The only issue I had was no phone signal by the chargers, so couldn’t pay etc, which was very frustrating but not the apps fault. Went back to the car later and this time my phone picked up the wi-if so managed to sort it easily. ### 5/5 — Straightforward to use *2023-07-18* This charging network could do with a contactless payment option. Otherwise, I am quite happy that I did not let myself influenced by all the negative reviews. I have used this charger and the app while on holiday in Cornwall. I was staying at one of the caravan sites, and had no idea that they provide EV charging facilities. Just happened to bump into these 2 charging stations with 2 connections on each. All delivering 11kw at a pretty reasonable price, compared to other providers which will rip you off for less power output. Using Vend Electric was pretty straightforward, downloaded the app, signed up for a new account straight away, topped up, plugged in and delivered 40 kw in less than 4 hours. No issues whatsoever in using the app or the charger. Quite happy with this experience. ### 4/5 — Charged and refunded *2025-06-01, version 1.2.5* The reviews here are so awful I didn’t think it would actually work at Center Parcs. The app is poorly designed with some annoyances but I was able to download and create an account before a trip, loaded some money, started a charge when I got there (which turns on properly at 11pm) and had the excess money refunded shortly after the stay. ### 4/5 — Overnight chargers at centerparcs *2024-02-04* Installed this for the overnight chargers at Centerparcs. It’s a bit finicky but it did work. You need to start a charge in the app *before* you plug in, you can’t just plug in your car and setup the app later. Plug in when the app says “starting charging session, make sure your car is plugged in”. The connector then goes green for a few seconds then stops charging and goes solid blue until 11pm when it charges overnight. If it’s flashing blue it didn’t work. The app should show “charging session active” even when it’s not in the overnight charging period. ### 3/5 — Another EV charging app *2024-09-24, version 1.2.5* Opaque charging structure may vary by location. I paid 44p per kWh , not bad for a public charger (22kW). You have to add money to the ‘wallet’ in the app from credit/debit card or possibly order an RFID before using. The charger I used worked fine. ### 3/5 — Better than expected *2023-04-05* Priced per kWh and not time, and worked effectively when I used it. Almost put iff by previous reviews, however I’m glad I wasn’t. Putting credit card details in each time rather than using Apple pay is a total pain, but I’ll be using this network again. ### 2/5 — Most unhelpful error message *2024-04-08, version 1.2.5* Used this at Center Parcs. Tried a few times and just kept saying “an error happened”. That was it. Despite setting it as PAYG I worked it out I needed to top up my wallet amount in the app to get it to work.
