## What is VendorAI?

Know who you're paying — before the money moves.

VendorAI is the pre-payment due-diligence check built for bookkeepers,
controllers, and small accounts-payable teams. Before you approve an
invoice or send a wire to a vendor you haven't worked with before, VendorAI
checks the public record and gives you a plain-English risk score backed by
real, cited sources — in minutes, not a day of manual searching.

WHY IT MATTERS

Invoice fraud and fake-vendor scams almost always leave a trail: a business
with no real registration, a website that's three weeks old, an address
that's actually a mail-drop, bank details that quietly changed since the
last invoice. VendorAI runs the checks that would normally take a dozen
browser tabs and turns them into one number you can trust.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Enter a company name plus one more identifier — address, website, email,
   phone, or tax ID. Or paste it from an email, or scan a document.
2. Pick Quick (4 checks) for a fast first look, or Full (11 checks) before
   money actually moves.
3. Get a 0–100 score in one of six plain-English risk bands, with every
   finding traceable to its source, date, and confidence level.
4. Decide. VendorAI never auto-approves or auto-rejects a vendor — every
   status change is a decision you make, always.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

There's no VendorAI server and no account to create. Every vendor record
and piece of evidence lives in an encrypted database on your device.
VendorAI runs on your own AI provider key — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google
Gemini, Groq, or Mistral. Your subscription pays for the app; your AI
provider bills your usage directly. Export or wipe your data any time.

WHO IT'S FOR

Solo bookkeepers, independent controllers, and small AP teams who want a
second set of eyes on a new vendor — without buying into enterprise AP
software or a corporate onboarding process.

WHAT VENDORAI DOESN'T DO

VendorAI surfaces publicly available information for your review. It never
states that a person or company has committed fraud or any crime, and
findings about named individuals are never presented as confirmed identity
