This new version is feature-rich and allows you to easily share the bulletin with attendees. This is a labor of love, and it shows in every aspect. ### 5/5 — A wonderful way to pray the Daily Office *2021-03-23, version 1.1.1* I’ve been using this app for a few months, and I’m incredibly impressed with how seamlessly it makes praying the various Offices. From Morning Prayer to Noonday Prayer, Vespers to Compline, all the assigned daily Psalms and the seasonal Invitatory are all included and take the guess work out of figuring out which prayers to recite. I’m grateful. ### 5/5 — Wonderful app for the offices *2021-01-22, version 1.1.0* Down to the fonts, I really appreciate how this is put together, how customizable it is, and how close to my book-based practice it is. My church uses this app for our online offices, and it works extremely well, particularly for those who may be unfamiliar with the office. It is also great that you can choose psalter cycles and opt in and out of Holy Day lectionaries. Super helpful. I don’t know if you can access the Great Litany as its own liturgy, but I would love to have that feature. I think I saw settings for it but have been unable to select it for prayer. I highly recommend this app for anyone interested in daily prayer in the Anglican/Episcopal tradition. ### 5/5 — Thursday Morning Prayer group converts *2020-09-25, version 1.1.0* Our weekly prayer group has been using this app for several months now. We take turns leading the service, and I’ve noticed that now even the most reticent volunteer enthusiastically since the app creates a bulletin to be easily followed. Our deacon raves about it. We are very impressed with its features. I highly recommend this app if you’d like to spend more time praying. If you’re looking for a beautiful app that allows you to pray the daily office, this is it. First of all, this app is beautiful: the font choice is perfect and the images on each daily prayer are a really nice touch. The built in meditation timer is a great idea, and I love the preset daily office reminders. These are both small but really helpful touches. Thank you for making this free to download and use. Get it right before releasing an update. ### 2/5 — I use the browser version now *2026-02-25, version 2.4.9* Since the app has become filled with EOW nonsense options that reduces Jesus Christ to just some guy, I switched to using the Forward Movement browser version on their website which is much more streamlined and without the extra unnecessary and unbiblical stuff. ### 4/5 — Good, but incomplete *2026-03-30, version 2.4.11* Provides a bevy of options uncommon to office apps- it’s really refreshing to be able to integrate Coverdale and the 1662 lectionary so naturally. The main issues are 1. The longer introduction to the confession in EP (at least in Rite I) is wrong- it doesn’t conform to the BCP text, instead copying the introduction used in MP. 2. There are no options which enable you to use specific collects and prayers for mission- much less to select additional prayers to add at the end (particularly the traditional prayers at the end of the Office would be appreciated). Without this option I can never use this for my daily office, because I pray the traditional two BCP collects in addition to the Collect of the Day. ### 4/5 — Excellent app, with some occasional quirks *2025-08-11, version 2.3.52* This application is very good, except for one bug (?) I hadn’t noticed before: no matter what Psalter you choose in settings, the text displayed is apparently that of the “Inclusive Psalter”, which really does change around and play with the language a bit, as compared to the original. The 1979 BCP or Coverdale 1662 Psalter would not show up, despite me repeatedly selecting those in settings. I believe this (apparent inability to display other than the “Inclusive Psalter”) must be an unintended bug. The app is otherwise excellent and very well done, functionally and aesthetically. Until this Psalter issue is fixed though, I expect I’ll be going back to the books or use some other electronic/online resource. Update 8/10/25: The above issue was fixed some time ago. … I’ve just noticed a new issue - in Evening Prayer Rite I on Sundays in the Invitatory and Psalter section, the text for the appointed Psalm just does not show up - the easy work around of course is to simply look the Psalm up online or in a book. Would be nice though if the Psalm text were there… Notwithstanding little quirks here and there, this is an excellent, great, useful, well-designed app and is much appreciated. Anyone who uses the BCP at all, and any interested others, should find this application useful. ### 4/5 — “Loading” *2024-07-20, version 2.3.36* It’s a great app, when it works. Recently it seems I’m getting more “loading” messages with no text showing up. Unfortunately, when I try to create a bulletin, I make my choices, and after that, the screen goes blank and doesn’t create a bulletin. The app also hangs when I tried the contact us for support action. ### 4/5 — By and large an excellent app *2022-07-05, version 2.3.8* I’ve really enjoyed using it and it is by far the most streamlined, beautiful, convenient and customizable Common Prayer phone application I have found. My one complaint is that I can’t figure out how to add collects. The Prayers and thanksgivings are no problem, but I can’t find a list on the app from which to select the desired collects during the offices. I’m used to using the 1928 BCP which uses the Collect for Peace with the office and, as of yet, I can’t figure out how to add it to Rite I. I’m glad to see that Forward Movement is now supporting the development effort, because this is a real gift to the Episcopal Church and its people. If you are interested in praying the Daily Office from the Book of Common Prayer, this provides you with everything you need, inline and tailored to your preferences. Just open the app and click “Pray”. ### 5/5 — The app *2024-07-10, version 2.3.36* My app has a problem getting the date and the readings right. ### 5/5 — Brilliant, beautiful BCP app *2024-01-15, version 2.3.28* This is the most beautiful, functional, dependable and customizable app for the Book of Common Prayer (1979) that I’ve come across — and I’ve seen almost all of them. So many devotional options and a login that retains your particular preferences day in and out. Highly recommend. ### 5/5 — Methodist Turned Episcopalian *2023-09-06, version 2.3.20* If you are interested in the read aloud feature, then skip down to Moira (Irish) in the settings. None of the American accents sound terribly natural. The whisper isn’t disappointing in American accent considering this is prayer. ### 5/5 — The best daily office app … *2023-07-12, version 2.3.19* If you want the 1979 Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. The other apps follow the 2019 Anglican BCP which is on a different schedule for its lectionary.
