As a fellow ADHDer it’s crucial to have as much organization as possible and this allows me to connect with clients, send out event information etc. highly recommend ! ### 5/5 — Yasss *2026-07-12, version 1.16* I’ve tried at least 3 tattoo booking softwares and this is the most user-friendly, affordable, and complete one. There are a few adjustments I’d like to see - tutorial videos on their YouTube channel, different appt. reminder messages for consultations than tattoo appointments, etc., but the staff is very responsive and helpful. It’s so convenient having everything in one place, clients love that it feels more like texting than a formal email, and the support staff is so timely and helpful. Shoutout to Cass specifically for always helping me troubleshoot technical issues. However I’ve been tattooing for 10 years and I like touching my money instantly because I do have bills and everything! This is how I make a living and having to still wait forever until they approve me for instant payout for MY MONEY is ridiculous. It makes me not want to use the app honestly! But I’ll give it time but if I have to keep waiting 3 days for my payouts for another week, I will be leaving this app. I will update the ratings once this changes. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2026-08-06, version 1.17* They charge 10% per booking, which is insane! They also have a subscription to where the client doesn’t have to pay but YOU pay $50 a month, which ends up at $600 a year. This service is definitely not worth that chunk of change. Theres no way to limit how many clients can book in a day, no buffer time after appointments, and the help they provide isn’t very helpful at all. It’s useful to have booking and client communication all in one platform, but venue ink charges too much for the lack of features it has. ### 1/5 — Sucks *2026-06-10, version 1.16* They don’t pay instant payouts… you have to wait 3 days just to get your money because they use STRIPE which is dumb so I stopped using the app it wasn’t beneficial for me and STILL NO INSTANT PAYMENT OPTION ITS STILL SAYING NOT ELIGIBLE ### 1/5 — Would love to use this app if it didn’t require me to take deposits through it! *2026-04-16, version 1.11* As an artist who works at a shop where we all take deposits through the shops POS system it is pretty much impossible to use this app for booking considering it requires clients to pay through the app for deposits. PLEASE make an option to set the deposit at $0. ### 2/5 — Want to love it *2026-06-14, version 1.16* I love the idea of this app, but after using it for a couple months I’ve had many issues. First off, it logs me out for no reason quite frequently, at least once a week, if not more. Clients have complained that they can’t tell if their messages get through to me. Often times when I open a chat with a client, it takes several minutes to load, if it ends up loading at all. And today I’m trying to send a client some messages and photos, and they just aren’t going through. This is incredibly frustrating as timely communication with clients is important for this business and this app is making it more difficult. I can deal with the logging out, but chat communication has to improve for me to justify using this! Please fix this, Venue !! ### 2/5 — Fix the buttons *2026-04-12, version 1.11* New to the app. I’m trying to create a page to upload my portfolio. When I click update it does nothing. When I click cancel it lets me cancel. Frustrating as a new user. As it stands right now, it doesn’t seem the app is able to send notifications of any kind at all. The service itself is great, just wish the app was a bit better. ### 3/5 — Absolutely a great app but… *2026-04-12, version 1.11* I truly wish it just directly deposited the clients deposits into my bank account rather than going through “Stripe”. Therefore, I’m having to wait 3-5 days or so to receive money. And previous to using this app, I would’ve made instantly. But all that said, I don’t have to go back and forth with clients and I can put all my flash, prices and sizes all in one place. Forms are now digital and that’s super convenient. For someone with ADHD, I’m very relieved to have such a helpful, and resourceful app. ### 3/5 — Love it! But.. *2026-03-03, version 1.11* Everything is set up wonderfully! The only issue I’m having is that there’s a 10% fee on total price for each client. And even if you do a subscription of 50$ a month it only lowers it to 5%. Which I love my clients and I book more than 30 clients in a month. I wouldn’t want them to get charged an extra 10 or even 5% from what they are already paying? Especially if I’m paying for a subscription.. other than that that it’s a great app. ### 3/5 — Booking fees *2026-01-13, version 1.10* I absolutely love this app and company but taking $10 away from each and every client I book with adds up really quick! On average I’m booking about 30 people per month… that means I’m paying $300 a month for this app!! I would much rather pay a flat rate monthly. It’s just not sustainable anymore. Also the payout is a bit confusing. I’m not sure if it’s user error but I still haven’t received any payouts from the 3rd of this month and it’s the 12th. I’m not too sure if this is a normal wait time? After constant messages on several platforms, I finally moved to venue and it has been an absolute LIFE saver. Despite a few app glitches and mishaps in the early days, the venue team has always been super responsive, friendly and humble, always looking to improve and listen to feedback. Appreciate you guys! I’d often miss inquiries from just losing them amongst the mess of it all. Venue Ink changed the booking process for me. It has always been a very good experience, at first being a little bit time consuming to set things up but that’s a testament to how customizable the content of this app and booking experience is. You can truly make it to how you like things to operate. There are so many features that make the booking process much more streamline and quick- no more spending hours and hours responding to DMs or emails. I truly love venue and what it’s done for my business. All my clients have the easiest time booking with me, and my return clients love it too :) Highly recommend this platform for booking your tattoos- everything is all in one place and if you just take the time to set things up you’ll learn all the features and it’ll be so worth it!! Also utilize their support! The quick response option makes booking the easiest part of my job, and each thread allows me to move between chats, and scheduling per person seamlessly.
