## What is Vera?

A line a day, at a moment you'll actually read it.

Vera shows you one affirmation at a time, set in large serif type on a canvas you choose. Swipe for the next. Keep the ones that land. Put them on your lock screen and let them find you.


WRITTEN, NOT GENERATED

Every line was written and read by a person before it shipped. 1,520 of them in English. The Russian corpus is written in Russian rather than translated, with correct grammatical agreement — the thing machine translation gets wrong roughly half the time, and the reason most affirmation apps read strangely in Russian.


YOU WON'T SEE THE SAME LINE TWICE FOR 60 DAYS

Repetition is what makes an affirmations app feel empty after a fortnight. Vera remembers every line it has shown you and does not come back to it.


WIDGETS

Lock screen and home screen. The line is already there when you pick up your phone, and tapping it opens exactly the one you were looking at.


REMINDERS THAT CARRY SOMETHING

Every notification contains a real affirmation — never "open the app!". Choose the hours you want them in and how many. The default is two a day and the ceiling is deliberately low.
