## What is Vera Videos?

Vera is social media where everything is real. Every video and photo is captured inside the app, nothing can be uploaded, edited, or generated. If you see it on Vera, someone actually pointed their camera at it.

The rest works how you'd expect: follow people, like things, comment, share videos with friends or text them to anyone.

No filters, no AI, no fakes. Just Vera.


## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-08-28

Zoom, while you film and while you watch. Pinch on the camera to reach the wide and telephoto lenses, and pinch any video to get a closer look at something.

Flash, so photos and video work in the dark.

Sound now plays even with your ringer switched to silent.

You can mute a clip when you post it, for when someone is audible in the background.

Send footage to someone. Anything you have not posted can be handed over, and whoever you send it to can keep it and post it, always credited to whoever filmed it.

Fixes: videos no longer vanish from your feed after you watch them once, tapping a trend opens the trend, the follow button stays followed, and search no longer autocorrects what you typed.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-21

Trends are here.

A trend is a prompt to film — "show your dog," "next year's super bowl prediction," "show a spot only locals know." Pick one, hit Participate, and the camera opens ready to go.

• Make your own and see who answers it
• Posts from people you follow show first on a trend
• Save the trends you like

New here? You'll pick a prompt and post one thing to get started.

Also: a photo that failed to save could leave you on a black screen with no way out. Fixed. And you can now tap the eye to check your password while typing.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-20

Fixes and improvements:

• Fixed a bug where the app could get stuck on a blank screen after taking a photo if the photo failed to save. You now get a clear message and a way back to the camera.
• If your session ever expires, Vera now takes you to the login screen instead of quietly failing in the background.
• Follows, comments, replies and like milestones now arrive as notifications on your phone.
• General stability improvements.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-06

This update makes sharing and posting smoother:

• Share videos — send them to friends in the app, or share a link anywhere
• Set a profile picture from your own Vera photos
• Post photo slideshows — pick multiple photos, in order
• Trash now shows real previews and opens full-screen
• Password recovery, plus reliability and bug fixes

### 1.2 — 2026-07-03

You can share videos now. Send a post to your friends on Vera and it shows up in their inbox, or text the link to someone who doesn't have the app and it just plays in their browser.
Also new: post more than one photo at a time (swipe through them), profile pictures, and a forgot password button on the login screen.
Cleaned up Storage too. Photos save automatically, trash actually shows you what's in it before you delete it forever.
Still no uploads, no filters, no AI. Everything on here was filmed on someone's phone, in the app.
