## What is Veraclimb?

Veraclimb is a bouldering coach and logbook that runs entirely on your iPhone. Film a side-on attempt and it reads your movement with Apple's on-device Vision pose engine: your video never leaves your phone, there's no upload, no account, and no cloud service scoring you. And it's honest — you get the measured number, the frame it came from, and the skeleton we tracked, so you can check our work. When the camera can't read a moment clearly, it stays silent instead of guessing. No black-box 0-100 score.

Unlimited analysis and the full logbook are free to use. Veraclimb Pro is an optional paid upgrade — pricing and terms are below.

**Your logbook, faster than a spreadsheet**
Log sends and attempts in seconds. Watch your grade pyramid build across the V-scale and see your progress over time. Tag projects, redpoints, and flashes. It's all local-first on your iPhone, with no account and no login required.

**A movement mirror, not a black box**
Film a side-on attempt and Veraclimb reads your body with Apple's on-device Vision pose engine, entirely on your phone. The headline cue is smoothness, a real measurement from your center-of-mass motion, not a graded score, so you can see where a move turned jerky. A foot-cut cue (labeled experimental, shown only on slab and vertical) flags when your feet leave the wall.

Every cue comes with the skeleton overlay, the measured number, and the exact frame, so you can self-verify what you're being told. If joint confidence is low, the cue simply doesn't fire.

**Private by design**
Your video never leaves your device. There is no upload, no cloud processing, and no third-party AI service. The "AI" here is computer vision and geometry running locally, not a chatbot watching your footage. No account, no ads, no usage tracking. The only thing that ever leaves your device is an anonymous crash report (no personal data, never linked to you) so we can fix bugs.

**Share the good ones**
Turn any analyzed clip into a one-tap annotated export, skeleton and cue captions included, sized for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.

**Free vs Pro**
Free, and generous on purpose:
- Unlimited on-device analysis
- Full logbook, grade pyramid, and progress
- Watermarked sharing

Veraclimb Pro, a paid upgrade, unlocks:
- The Coach — your Limiter Report and deeper trends (send rate by grade, all-time smoothness, projecting)
- Unwatermarked, hi-res export
- iCloud sync and backup

**Veraclimb Pro pricing and terms**
Veraclimb Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: $8.99 per month, or $59.99 per year, each with a 7-day free trial. A one-time lifetime unlock is also available (a one-time purchase, not a subscription) — see the in-app price. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. We never gate your analysis or your logging behind a paywall.

**Built for honest feedback**
Veraclimb won't claim to replace your coach or promise results. It shows you what it measured, admits what it couldn't, and leaves the climbing to you. Film an attempt, log a send, and see your movement for yourself.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-06

A stability fix for iCloud Sync.

• Fixed a crash that could stop Veraclimb from opening for climbers who had iCloud Sync turned on. Your logbook was never affected — nothing was lost.
• If iCloud Sync can't start safely, Veraclimb now opens your logbook on this device and tells you plainly, instead of failing to open.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-23

The Coach, made clearer — and a gentle new way to finish what you started.

• Veraclimb Pro now shows the whole loop up front: see your limiter, get your week's sessions, and watch each target check itself off as you log.
• Annual pricing now shows its per-month equivalent.
• After the sample analysis, you can preview what the Coach would do with your own climbs.
• New: an optional block reminder — one nudge if your week slips, scaled to how often you actually climb. Off by default, never a daily ping.
• Small fixes and polish.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-16

No release notes.
