## What is Verdant Grow Intelligence?

Verdant is a private grow journal for people tracking plants they're
cultivating legally where they live.

Log what you actually did — waterings, feedings, training, repotting —
and photograph each plant as it changes. Verdant keeps the timeline so
you can look back and see what worked.

WHAT YOU CAN TRACK
• Waterings, feedings, and nutrient mixes with amounts, EC, and pH
• Photos organized per plant and per day
• Temperature, humidity, and VPD from your own sensors
• Growth stages, training, and everything else worth remembering

UNDERSTAND YOUR ENVIRONMENT
Verdant computes vapor pressure deficit from your temperature and
humidity readings and shows how it trends over time. Rather than
flagging every number that sits outside a textbook range, it explains
how your readings work together — warmer air with higher humidity can
still land in a healthy VPD range, and Verdant tells you when that's
the case instead of raising three separate alarms.

PHOTO ANALYSIS THAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
An optional on-device model reviews your plant photos and notes what it
sees. Nothing is uploaded. You can download it when you want it and
remove it whenever you like.

A COACH THAT EXPLAINS, NOT GUESSES
Verdant computes your plant and environment assessments with
deterministic rules, then puts them in plain language. The numbers come
from your data, not from a model's imagination. On supported devices
this runs entirely offline using Apple Intelligence.

BUILT FOR PRIVACY
Your journal, photos, and readings live on your device. Verdant has no
account, no tracking, and no servers collecting your data. If you
choose to connect your own AI provider, requests go directly from your
phone to that provider using your own key — we're never in the middle.

CONNECT YOUR OWN SENSORS
Already running Home Assistant? Verdant reads your existing temperature
and humidity sensors so your journal carries real environmental context
alongside every entry.

Verdant is a record-keeping and analytics tool. It does not sell,
source, or facilitate the sale of anything.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-08

This maintenance release improves reliability and makes assessments easier to understand.

- Fixed a launch hang when Home Assistant history is limited.
- Fixed Timeline reset so it clears all filters and restores saved history.
- Prevented duplicate journal entries from repeated event confirmations and improved retry handling.
- Fixed Today refresh gaps, stale activity alerts, and dismissed alerts reappearing.
- Moved pending event confirmations nearer the top of Today.
- Clarified environmental condition scores: higher scores mean less accumulated impact.
- Clarified that assessment confidence describes the overall assessment, not photo quality.
- Removed misleading blurry-photo warnings when visual findings do not qualify for scoring.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-31

No release notes.
