## What is Verde?

Verde is a simple, fully offline expense tracker.

Log a spend in two taps — amount, then category. Note and date are optional. That's it.

• Two taps to log
• Talk to Verde: say it instead of typing, on your phone
• A monthly budget that shows what's left, and the true percentage even when you're over
• Optional spending limits per category
• Recurring bills, set once
• Insights over any date range you pick
• Your whole history, searchable
• Export to CSV any time
• Face ID lock, if you want it
• Share one ledger with one other person

TALK TO VERDE

Say it instead of typing. "Coffee with Anita, twelve fifty" becomes an expense with the amount, category and note filled in; you check it and tap Add. Ask "how much budget do I have left?" or "where did my money go this month?" and Verde answers from your own numbers.

It runs on your phone. After a one-time download of about 250 MB that you start yourself, it works with no internet at all, even in airplane mode, and nothing you say or spend leaves your device. English, Bahasa Indonesia (iOS 26 or later) and Japanese.

FULLY OFFLINE

No account. No server. No sign-up. What you enter is written to your device and stays there.

No analytics. No crash reporting. No ads. No tracking. No third-party SDKs. By default Verde makes no network requests at all — there's nothing to opt out of, because there's nothing collecting. The only thing Verde itself ever downloads is the optional voice model, and only when you tap Download.

We can't see what you spend, because it never reaches us.

OPTIONAL iCLOUD SYNC

If you want your own iPhone and iPad in step, you can turn on iCloud Sync. It uses your own iCloud, it's off by default, and the developer has no access to it.

SHARE WITH ONE OTHER PERSON

New on iPhone. Invite someone by their Apple ID and you both write into the same expenses and the same totals, with every expense showing who logged it. Whoever joins chooses whether to start clean or ask to bring their own expenses in — and that needs the other person's approval, so nothing merges behind anyone's back. Either side can end it at any time.

Your monthly budget, currency and the rest of your settings stay your own. Sharing is off until you start it.

Dollars, Yen and Rupiah, with amounts kept exact.

Made by one person. The support address reaches me directly.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-10-07

Talk to Verde. Say what you spent, and it's logged.

Tap the mic and say "coffee with Anita, twelve fifty". Verde fills in the amount, the category and a note, and you tap Add. Ask it things too, like "how much budget do I have left?" or "where did my money go this month?", and it answers from your own numbers.

It all runs on your phone. After a one-time download of about 250 MB that you start yourself, it works with no internet at all, even in airplane mode, and nothing you say or spend is sent anywhere. It understands English, Bahasa Indonesia and Japanese (Bahasa Indonesia voice needs iOS 26; typing always works).

It learns your categories. Say a category's name and Verde uses it, and when you correct a pick once, it remembers for the same words next time.

Also in this update:
• Household sharing is more dependable. If something hasn't reached iCloud yet, Home now says so and lets you retry, and deletes no longer get lost on the way.
• The bottom bar is tidier: Home and Profile sit evenly beside Add | Ask on every iPhone.
• "See what you can say" lists everything Verde understands, one tap from the voice screen.

### 1.6 — 2026-09-23

Verde feels quicker.

The first number you type after opening the app now drops in cleanly instead of catching on the way. Budget bars, the Insights chart and switches ease into place without holding up the screen around them, and longer lists like Categories and Recurring open without a hitch.

Edit a recurring bill the same way you logged it. Tap a rule in Profile → Recurring and it opens on the familiar Add screen, with its amount, category, note and schedule filled in. The next charge date updates as you change the schedule. Saving changes the rule only; charges already in your history stay exactly as they were.

Also in this update:
• A simpler first launch with one "Get started" button. Sample data is still there if you want to look around first, in Profile → Reset data.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-09

Log a purchase by paying for it.

Set up one Shortcuts automation — Verde walks you through it in Profile → "Apple Pay auto-log" — and from then on, every Apple Pay tap lands in Verde on its own. The merchant, the amount and the date come straight from the Wallet transaction, so a coffee you paid for at the counter is already in this month's total by the time you put your phone away.

Nothing is logged behind your back. A tap is held on your iPhone and shown on a "to review" card on Home. You confirm the batch before any of it leaves the device — until you do, a held expense isn't in iCloud and isn't visible to the person you share with. If nothing is waiting, the card isn't there at all.

Verde learns your places from your own ledger. The second time you tap at the same coffee shop, it already knows the category — because it looked at what you filed that place under last time, not at some built-in list of American chain stores. Places Verde hasn't seen yet ask you once, and the answer sticks.

Also in this update:
• The review screen commits in one go — pick a category on the rows that need one, then save the whole batch with a single button.
• Undo on the confirmation toast puts a batch straight back.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-07

This one is about polish and reliability.

Smoother from the first tap. Verde now warms up its most expensive drawing work at launch and does its iOS memory housekeeping off the main thread, so screens no longer stutter the first time you open them. Swiping back stays smooth from the very start of the gesture, and a screen you return to no longer replays its entrance animation.

More reliable syncing. Turning iCloud Sync back on now pulls in whatever changed while it was off, instead of waiting for you to add an expense to nudge it. A manual refresh really refetches, and a write can no longer quietly fail to reach your other device.

Sharing, your budget and everything else work exactly as before. Verde still has no account, no server of its own, and still collects nothing.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-05

Verde can hold one ledger for two people now. Profile → iCloud carries both sync and sharing in one screen: invite the other person by their Apple ID, or send them a private link, and from then on you are both writing into the same history and the same totals.

Every expense says who logged it. Your partner's rows carry their badge in History and on Insights, and the expense's detail sheet names them on a "Logged by" row. Your own rows stay unbadged, so the ledger reads as yours with theirs marked, not as a wall of labels.

Whoever joins decides what happens to what they already had. They can start clean on the household ledger, or ask to bring their own expenses in — and that request goes to the other person to approve or decline. Nothing is merged behind anyone's back, and nothing is thrown away: a joiner's own history stays on their iPhone either way.

Either side can end it. The owner can stop sharing, the person who joined can leave, and the app says plainly which of those happened.

Your monthly budget stays your own. Sharing combines what you both spend, not what you each budget — so each of you still sees the shared spend against your own limit.

Sharing is iPhone-only and needs iCloud on both sides. Verde still has no account, no server of its own, and still collects nothing.

Also fixed:
• Typing into a category's monthly limit no longer scrambles the cursor — a digit typed mid-number now lands where you put it
