BEFORE YOU START YOUR VERIFICATION 

You will need a biometric ID document, so a passport, drivers licence, ID card or residence permit, and be in a well-lit area, so you can take a good quality photograph of yourself. 

How Verify 365 works? 

You will need to: 
1. Get an invite by text message from your lawyer 
2. Download the Verify 365 app
3. Log in using your phone number and OTP code
4. Take an image of your document
5. Read the chip in your document using your phone
6. Scan your face using your phone
7. Take a photograph of yourself for your digital status
8. Provide your address and upload supporting documents, if required 
9. Provide access to your bank statements through secure Open Banking API platform 
10. Complete a Source of Funds questionnaire

Compromises people’s security by sending text messages with web links. US date formats in the UK, took me bloody ages to figure out what was wrong. Extremely frustrating by not listing all requirements before you start, so takes twice as long as necessary. Poor design, bad experience.

Where do I start? Firstly, used in UK so why does it insist on US date format? Secondly if there are several steps why do you not list the required documents at the beginning? Also, if a date limit applies to recent documents why does this not appear until after the document has been scanned?
Thirdly,  are the types of acceptable documents not listed before you start scanning?
Whoever created this app needs to be trained on UI design and customer experience. This ended up taking 5 times longer than needed. I write this with 35 years IT experience.

The app automatically took multiple images of the same doc. It says your annual council tax bill must be less than three months old. Why? I downloaded a phone bill but there was no way to submit this. I expect this process to fail if a real person ever looks at the submitted docs!

I think it’s great that we can do this process now. However being digital it’s so easy. Most documents are also now digital like utility bills so there should be a way to submit digital utility bills or this process is just so difficult??

Easy to use. SOF could do with re wording. Straight forward. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off - user error! I completed the tasks in under 10 mins. Support line are brilliant very knowledgeable and helpful.
