The meal tracker is very basic. A lot of things that can’t handle and doesn’t provide much nutritional value other than the basics. The AI is rudimentary and keeps asking the same repeated questions. Anything beyond a cold or an infected toe it’s pretty much useless. I tried this app for about a week and gave up. Not really worth surrendering my medical information for. **Developer response:** We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Regarding your health records, we request access to your HIE data because it provides a more complete picture of your health, including your past labs, medications, and visits, so that we can give you better care recommendations. We strictly use your data as permitted under HIPAA/HIPAA Authorization to provide services, communicate with you and, with explicit consent, enable research opportunities. ### 4/5 — Can you allow editing logged meals? *2026-03-09, version 3.3.7* Still waiting for the medical records and ai analysis. ### 3/5 — Food Logging *2026-01-08* The artificial intelligence part of identifying foods is largely inaccurate 85% of the time almost every meal logged has to be corrected. One day a grapefruit is 50 calories and the next day it’s 150 calories. 2 eggs are 140 cal, not 300 as the AI says. Plus it only looks at calories, counting calories is not where nutrition is at. This app needs to be calculating protein and carbs when looking at meals. **Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback! Since you reached out, we’ve enhanced Verily Me’s meal logging features. Thank you for helping us make the app even better! ### 1/5 — No privacy *2025-10-24* Why in the world would someone be incentivized to share health records with BIG DATA/google? And you need my SSN and proof of ID? Sketchy! Illegal? Not in a million years. ### 1/5 — A warning about the Data they collect and their refusal to delete it upon request. *2025-10-21* When I asked them to delete my account and erase the data they collected they responded saying,“We are unable to proceed with deleting your Verily Me data as we are required to retain all data in our platform for at least 6 years as required by HIPAA”. Look at all the Data categories they “may” collect and then say they can’t delete their copy of them. I’m obviously not asking them to delete the original data that was copied from other origins such as the health care exchange records. Yet Verily Me provides a canned explanation of why they must keep “all data” due to HIPPA. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. Your data is being sold or leaked. This app looks like it was built by a 19 year old in their parents basement. It’s a joke. This app is a game-changer—I absolutely love it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — An absolute dud *2026-06-08* Made me jump through all sorts of hoops to confirm my identity, in order to pull my health records—then it surfaced a few random records from a specialist I saw one time years ago whole ignoring stuff like my vaccination records (which all my other providers have easily pulled from the state registry). **Developer response:** We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. I haven't been able to use my latest glucose monitor, see the results of my last medical appointment, or request a refill of my test strips. ### 1/5 — Free? But none of that is in the verily app now after I was pushed over to this new app. No responses from chat messages. How do I get my test strips for Biotel meter? Do I still have to do 10 blood checks a month? Is my insulin still covered as it was for doing these things? **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback.
