The Verizon Care Smart app lets you activate and manage Care Smart’s Get Help– Professional Monitoring service, as well as other Care Smart features, on eligible models* Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch and Google Pixel Watch connected through a valid plan to the Verizon network. Use the Care Smart app to set up Care Smart’s Get Help - Professional Monitoring (subscription required). A Get Help agent responds 24/7 when you tap the watch’s Get Help button or when the watch reports a fall. As needed, the agent can notify emergency services with your location and can also conference in a trusted personal contact. Your Trust Circle contacts can view your location and are notified when the agent closes your case. (In contrast, the Verizon Care Smart Watch is also compatible with the Care Smart app, but that watch does not support the Get Help services. I contacted Apple because Verizon said they can’t fix it and Apple says it’s a Verizon app they have to fix it! I pay extra for this service and it’s not right ### 1/5 — Setup issues *2025-05-24, version 3.0.14* Service is set up and ready to go. I tested and it works yet after doing the $10 perk, my account still says to set it up. Need to clear this. Also, now it doesn’t work at all. Test calls don’t go through. It keeps saying location services need to turn on yet they are on. ### 1/5 — Always broken *2025-05-20, version 3.0.14* Update the iOS and the app stops working. You have to delete it and then reinstall. Then ALL of the health information that you’ve painstakingly entered is gone. ### 1/5 — Used to work and now it doesn’t *2025-02-18, version 3.0.14* Had a device for my elderly grandparent and worked great for years. Two months ago the device stopped working and Verizon issued a replacement. However, when I tried to pair it with the app I keep getting an error message that the device is already linked to another account. Verizon sent out another device but the same problem. Was told to contact Verizon Caresmart through email. Emailed over a month ago and no response beside the automated one saying they respond in 1-2 business days🙄. Deleted and redownloaded app multiple times with no assistance from Verizon. Paying for a service that doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Absolutely arcane piece of garbage *2024-09-06, version 3.0.14* Failures to connect, incomplete instructions, poor UI design, application failures… this one has it all. It didn’t take my wife and I long to realize this was the absolute last thing we would want to rely on to help keep each other safe. ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2024-08-17, version 3.0.14* I used my Apple ID log in and creat my account. I later changed phones. Got a new watch. Had to change everything over twice. And ever since then the app won’t let me sign in with my Apple ID. I can’t start a new account because my phone number is already tied to an active account. So now I can’t use this service at all. Yes I turned it off and on. Yes I uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app. Yes I turned it off and on in between every step of the process so there was no question about it. I’ve even factory reset my watch. ### 1/5 — Don’t work *2024-02-13, version 2.3.0* I’ve downloaded the app, got to as far as typing the code into the little square boxes, and it won’t allow me to enter the numbers in the square boxes to continue setting up personal information. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it still the same thing.! ### 1/5 — Needs Work *2024-01-11, version 2.3.0* Installed it on my phone and watch. Not happy that it has to be the default watch face. Not happy that Verizon is using it to track your every move. Also, had an issue with it saying that the location was off. I don’t have time for errors. So I’m dropping the app entirely. I want to be able to use any watch face and not one that has zero appeal. ### 1/5 — Can’t set up my account *2023-12-17, version 2.3.0* I’m trying to set up my account but the keypad for the phone number field covers the “SUBMIT” button so it’s impossible to submit (and hitting enter is not an option either). iPhone 15 Pro ### 3/5 — Can’t remove watch holder other numbers *2023-11-23, version 2.2.0* For some reason if you’ve entered a old phone number attached to the watch wearer in the trust circle, you can’t remove them. Even if the number isn’t valid anymore. This takes up valuable space since you can’t enter more than 10 numbers. Other than that, seems to work.
