Now the feature itself has been degraded again. If you attempt to copy-paste the number from your phone including the country code it will not work. So you’re forced to either copy it elsewhere and remove the country code or manually type it between the app switcher. With robo calls on the rise, having added friction from a paid service doesn’t help. ### 1/5 — Does not block calls *2026-08-17, version 9.0.0* In addition to making customers pay for further protections—something that is their responsibility, anyway—the app doesn’t even work to stop spam calls. I still receive them, and my phone still rings for “potential spam” calls, even with “silence unknown callers” enabled (something that did not happen before I installed this app). ### 1/5 — Call filter doesn’t work. *2026-08-17, version 9.0.0* It works even worse than the old call filter app. VOIP spam calls are still getting through, and I’m still getting 5-10 calls a day escaping the filter. Honestly just give me the option to block all calls that aren’t in my contacts list at this point and forego the filter altogether. ### 2/5 — Breaks wireless CarPlay *2026-08-15, version 9.0.0* If you use wireless CarPlay you will want to make sure that the vpn is not enabled otherwise you will run into all sorts of issues with CarPlay. No internet, dropped connections, etc. all my issue went away once I disabled the vpn. ### 2/5 — CarPlay *2026-08-15, version 9.0.0* Prevents wireless CarPlay from working properly. Disables Apple Map navigation and all other apps from communicating including Radar Detector apps. You must disable safe browsing option. If you are using an iPhone, all of the services Verizon offers is a waste of money, minus the spam filter. Now, I’m getting three calls every single minute. Seriously. Bring back Call Filter. Protect doesn’t even recognize that I’m getting a call, so I have to manually input that I had a spam call. Forced to download Verizon protect in place of Call Filter. Spam calls are no longer getting blocked! I have my own VPN and 100% am not using Verizons. I only used the call filter app to block spam and scammers. This app here doesn’t have a neighborhood filter feature. This app here is a mess of things I am not interested in. Ill just go back to AT&T for my 4 phones. ### 2/5 — Sends Important Calls to voicemail *2026-07-10, version 8.5.0* At least once a week, this app sends important calls that are obviously in my call history directly to voicemail without ringing the phone. The calls don’t even show up in recent. This happens once or twice every week. Today it sent a call from a mechanic who I’ve spoken with numerous times directly to voicemail. It has sent calls from doctor’s office where I’ve done business for years directly to voicemail. I finally had to turn the app off out of frustration because I keep missing important calls. The app should be able to look at call history and determine whether a call is valid or not. ### 1/5 — App keeps crashing *2026-07-09, version 8.4.1* I’m trying to get on the app and it keeps crashing. It keeps saying something went wrong please try again later or reopen the open. And nothing. I don’t know what’s going on. Please add date & timestamp for notifications. It helps piece potential risks better with what may have triggered the notification. Their responses have basically been to adjust my settings (to what they were already set to) and to manually report my spam calls through their portal which takes minutes per spam call (I get up to 10 spam calls per day). Manually reporting my spam calls has yielded no results and is a waste of my time. I also already flag and report EVERY spam call through the phone app, so it seems like it SHOULD be redundant.
