Your goal is to fill the entire board with dominoes of different shapes and colours. Tiles can be placed next to each other when they match in colour or in shape. Joker tiles can be placed next to any other tile. Did you get stuck? No problem! Use the bomb anywhere on the board to remove the nine tiles next to it. It's a fun brain exercise! It's qwirkle with a twist! It's like dominoes! Versatile is a fun and original brain game. This addictive and fun board game may seem easy at first, but you will soon discover that you need clever tactics to get the highest scores! How it works: Place the coloured domino tiles on the board, starting from the middle tile. Tiles can be placed next to each other if they share the same shape and/or the same colour. You get extra points if the tile borders multiple tiles at the same time. If you fill a row or column, you will also get extra points. Joker tiles can be placed next to any other tile. If you get stuck or if you want to clear a section of the board, you can use a bomb, up to three times. The issues I have are 1 no start tutorial or game explanation help button. 2 the game only lets you see the high score not daily or past scores. 3 the highlights for the available spaces aren’t very distinct. Also the triangles are upside down and that drives me insane. None of these are a deal breaker though. On the plus side; and what keeps me playing…. 1 no ads interference 2 the colors are vivid 3 no time limit although having a time mode may make things interesting 4 no coins to earn or things to buy to win etc. my four year old grandson enjoys playing and I don’t have to worry about inappropriate ads or accidental purchases etc. would give 3 1/2 stars if possible and when the scores are available I will upgrade. ### 1/5 — Crap *2020-06-06, version 1.0.1* Directions? Stupid game ### 3/5 — Tap the board to move *2018-10-14, version 1.0.1* Other reviewers are right in that it’s not intuitive enough. Most games are drag and drop, but in this one you simply tap the space on the board that you want the tile to go to. There doesn’t seem to be a way to choose to play a tile other than the highlighted one that’s “up next” in your hand, which is kind of limiting. If you get stuck to where you can’t make any more moves with the tiles you have with the board as it is, you can clear a small section of the board by tapping on one of the bombs and then tapping on the part of the board you want cleared. A fun little game, but I could see myself getting tired of it quickly (I only downloaded it an hour ago) because of the limitation. ### 1/5 — Same problem *2018-03-14, version 1.0.1* I read the last review and have the same problem. There’s no instructions on how to move. You tap on the tiles or touch and drag and nothing happens. But I think the issue is that the download gets hung up. If I look at the App Store the little circle that appears when you tap “get” didn’t make it all the way around. Frustrating!!!! ### 3/5 — No clear way to maneuver tiles *2017-12-23, version 1.0.1* I loved the game Qwirkle, but the developers didn’t upgrade it to i-tunes’ liking, so it’s been taken away. I was hoping this would be a replacement, and maybe it would be, but they have to hire an English speaker to write clearer instructions. There is no obvious way to “move” the tiles! I tapped on the tiles, I tapped on the squares. Nothing. Can you only move the high-lighted tile? If that tile has no matching opportunity, then what? If you can choose a non-high-lighted tile, how do you do that? (Tapping it doesn’t work.) Can a new tile occupy a non-touching square? Again, if so, how?
