I tried 3 times and gave up! On to the next app. So sad ### 3/5 — Love the concept, need to see improvements *2026-07-02* This app is essential for helping me memorize verses, and the overall experience is great. However, there are a couple of bugs and usability issues that make continued daily use challenging: if you have the app open too long, you eventually get a warning to pause for a long passage. Once this appears, it pops up multiple times per game. I have been told there is an update coming later this year that will address this, but my hope is that bugs like this could be addressed more quickly. It’s challenging to manage long passages. This app is great for selective passage memorization, but in my opinion it takes a lot of work once you want to memorize more than 2+ verses (for instance an entire book). You can do it but it creates a lot of work “managing” for the user. Still essential. I have a 30 week streak going. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for continuing to support Verses and for sticking with us through all the bugs! We are so glad to hear that it has been a helpful tool to "hide God's Word" in your heart. We also appreciate you taking the time to leave a review! My husband and I are currently working on a massive rewrite of Verses that has taken quite some time. We plan on releasing it at the end of this year. I would REALLY appreciate if you had to also memorize the verse address alongside the verses themselves. It’s helping me memorize the Word of God but I can’t remember where it is when I try to encourage someone else to go there or want to myself in an actual Bible. Would LOVE if the developers at least added this as an option in the settings maybe? Thanks! The way verses makes you only type the first letter makes repeating verses so easy. I also love the fill in the blank part to help me early to memorize a verse. At first, I used the reorder feature (the up and down arrows) to mix it up and then let me drag and drop to reorder. It’s fun, calming and meditative. Sometimes a potion of the chapter will stand out and/or I understand it better. Then they started charging monthly for translations outside of KJV. If you have any issues the company does not respond. The main point is that later in life when I had to go through several traumas, because I had memorized the scripture. It came to me naturally when my mind could not handle remembering the truth.
