## What is VerseVoice?

VerseVoice — hear the meaning of the Qur'an, verse by verse.

VerseVoice is a Qur'an reader built around a simple idea: you should be able to understand what is being recited, not just hear it. Every verse pairs the original Arabic with a translation you can read — and hear aloud — so the meaning stays with you during recitation and prayer.

LISTEN MODE
Play any surah ayah by ayah. As each verse is recited, VerseVoice highlights the matching Arabic and its translation, then advances automatically to the next verse. Choose your reciter and let the surah flow from start to finish.

SPOKEN MEANING (TRANSLATION VOICE)
VerseVoice can read each verse's translation aloud. Put in your earphones and follow the meaning of what the imam is reciting during salah — the Arabic plays, then the meaning is spoken, then it moves on. Toggle it on or off any time.

LIVE FOLLOW-ALONG (experimental)
Turn on Live mode and VerseVoice listens to recitation through your microphone and highlights the verse being recited, so you can keep your place. This feature is best-effort and depends on your device's Arabic speech recognition.

116 TRANSLATIONS, 47 LANGUAGES
Read the Qur'an's meaning in your language. Pick from 116 published translation editions across 47 languages, with a searchable, grouped picker. Each translation renders in a script-appropriate font and right-to-left where needed.

AUTHENTIC, VERIFIED SOURCES
All Arabic text, translations, and recitation audio come from the verified, published editions distributed through the alquran.cloud API. Nothing in VerseVoice is AI-generated. The default Arabic is the Uthmani (Madina Mushaf) script and the default English is the Hilali & Khan "The Noble Qur'an," published by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, Madinah.
