## What is Verso?

Verso is a quiet, beautiful home for fan fiction — and it reads to you.

Paste a link to a public work on Archive of Our Own or Quotev — or tap Share right in Safari — and the whole story lands on your shelf: title, author, tags, and every chapter. Importing is free, always.

LISTEN
• Narration reads any story aloud, with word-by-word highlighting that follows along
• Keeps reading with your phone locked — play, pause, and skip 15 seconds from the lock screen
• Choose your voice and speed; a sleep timer stops when you drift off
• Your place is saved to the word, in every story

READ
• Typography that takes long-form fiction seriously — adjustable size, margins, and line height
• Scroll or page-turn mode, whichever your thumbs prefer
• Light, sepia, dark, and high-contrast modes, free for everyone

NEVER MISS AN UPDATE
• Verso Premium watches your works-in-progress and badges them the moment new chapters arrive
• Premium also unlocks the Hush and Codex themes, in every mode

IMPORT
• Fan fiction import — works with Archive of Our Own and Quotev links
• Import straight from Safari: tap Share, choose Verso
• One-tap import when a story link is on your clipboard
• Paste any text — chapters are detected automatically
• Open .txt and DRM-free EPUB files

QUIET BY DESIGN
• No ads. No accounts. No tracking.
• Your library lives on your device.

Verso Premium is $1.99/month, $19.99/year, or $29.99 once. Reading, narration, and importing are free forever.

Unofficial — not affiliated with the OTW (Organization for Transformative Works) or Quotev or AO3.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-02

Verso 1.2.1 polishes the Premium experience — and makes your works-in-progress easier to follow.

• Try before you buy: tap the Hush or Codex theme to preview it live in your book before unlocking
• Theme buttons now show a color swatch so you can see each theme's personality at a glance
• New in Settings: leave a quick rating without hunting for the App Store page

Reading, narration, and importing stay free — forever. If you downloaded Verso before 1.2: every theme and mode you already had stays free for you, permanently.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-28

Verso Premium is here — optional support that unlocks:

• The Hush and Codex reading themes are now behind in-app purchases
• New-chapter checking: Verso quietly watches your in-progress stories and badges the shelf when new chapters arrive

Been here since the beginning? The themes stay free for you, forever — thank you.

Reading, importing, narration, and every color mode are free for everyone, always.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-27

Verso 1.1 makes getting stories onto your shelf almost effortless:

• Import straight from Safari — tap Share on any story page and choose Verso
• Quotev links now import, right alongside AO3
