## What is Vert ALPR?

Scan your lot, sell permits, and issue payable citations all within the Vert ALPR app. VertALPR is a new generation of vehicle-mounted automatic license plate recognition that runs completely on your mobile phone. The VertALPR app uses an array of state-of-the-art neural networks to recognize and read license plates in real-time, even while driving. Plates are compared against lookup lists in real-time with fuzzy-matching. The only device you need is your phone. 

USING VERT ALPR IS EASY
VertALPR works handheld or while driving. If using a vehicle, simply attach your phone to any windshield or dashboard mobile phone mount. Set the phone to the landscape/horizontal position and begin scanning.

COMPARE AGAINST PERMIT, ALLOW, AND DISALLOW (HOT) LISTS IN REAL-TIME
Plate captures and list lookups are done in real-time during scanning. VertALPR uses advanced fuzzy-matching techniques for each lookup which allows for partial plate matches.

SEARCH SCAN HISTORY WITH LOCATION
All scans include the original full frame of capture as well as the license plate cropped image. A geolocation tag is also included and displayed on a map. Full and partial plate searches are supported.

MANAGE YOUR ALERT LISTS FROM THE APP
Allow and disallow (hot) lists are managed directly in the VertALPR app. You can also add or edit individual plates.

GENERATE AND EXPORT REPORTS
If you need to generate and export reports, you can generate a CSV report of your scan history. A record of report generation is also created.

Everything works great so far! The creators of this app included all the bells and whistles with the allow and disallow lists.

I'm based in Florida and use this for work and the accuracy is pretty good. Sometimes a letter or 2 are off, but the alert lists seem to be quite reliable. It doesn't work for some out of state plates but the developers say they are including more states soon. Saves me lots of time. 4 stars

Right off the bat, this is a very responsive license plate scanner. I use it everyday. I'm a security professional and nothing beats the convenience of having a scanner on your phone that even works while driving. However, the 4 star is temporary, until this one huge issue is fixed. I cannot turn on the flashlight when I am scanning so it is hard to make scans at night. Please add this and I will change my rating to 5 stars.

We switched from expensive dedicated cameras to Vert to save costs. The scans we get our mostly okay with some off letters. It doesn't really work well in the dark.
