Steve mentions that he looks to “…solve his struggles with (his) own resources — (his) strength, (his) knowledge, (his) finances. (He) forgets to consult with the one who created the universe and who knows and understands everything, including what is best in (his) current situation.
(He) needs to battle (his) tendency to live horizontally by continually looking to the Lord for solutions first. (He) calls that living vertically.”
