Vertiscoper is a fast, creator-focused tool that desqueezes anamorphic photos and videos directly on your iPhone, ready to post in seconds. 
Perfect for anamorphic photographers, content creators, mobile filmmakers and anyone chasing cinematic results on the go without a desktop.

As a cinematographer who’s always chasing new looks and creative possibilities, I developed Vertiscoper out of my own need for a simple and fast anamorphic workflow, no matter if the lens is mounted for a vertical or in a classic horizontal setup.

SUPPORTED FORMATS: 

IMAGES
JPG, TIFF, DNG, Apple ProRAW and camera RAW from Sony, Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Leica and many more.
If a rare RAW format isn't readable on your device, convert it to DNG, TIFF or JPEG (e.g. in Lightroom) before importing.
Desqueezed RAW photos will be saved as TIFF.

VIDEO
H.264, H.265 and Apple ProRes are supported, including 10-bit HDR (HLG/PQ).
Please convert other video formats before importing.
Desqueezed videos will be saved as H.265 (HEVC) or ProRes when the source is ProRes.

The app does desqueeze footage but it also doubles the audio track for some reason creating an echo effect making the video worthless.

No custom squeeze factors, so if you have for instance 1.6, you are out of luck. Also the app crashes when you want to batch export more than 3 pictures

I have used the Vertiscoper to de-squeeze both photos and videos. It works exactly as described. I also contacted the developer with a few suggestions about how to increase the functionality of a few specific functions and he was very receptive to the input.

Doesn’t want to import any photos to do what the app is designed for. I’ve given it access to my library and when trying to select a photo to resize it doesn’t open the photo. Wish I could get a refund.

I've been waiting for something like this. Shooting anamorphic on iPhone is great until you need to desqueeze your footage – then you're stuck with your laptop. Vertiscoper fixes that problem completely.
What I love: it handles both vertical and horizontal desqueeze in one simple app. The batch processing saves tons of time, and the touch-and-hold preview lets you check your work instantly. No subscription nonsense, just a clean one-time purchase.
The app feels like it was built by someone who actually uses anamorphic lenses (because it was – Alex is a working cinematographer). It does exactly what you need, nothing more, nothing less.
Also worth mentioning: Alex is super responsive and helpful when you reach out. That kind of developer support is rare these days.
For €2.99, this is a steal if you shoot anamorphic content on mobile. Highly recommended.
