Verus is a private messenger for people who already know each other. Messages are encrypted on your phone and can only be opened on the phone they were sent to. YOU CHOOSE WHO CAN REACH YOU Verus does not ask for your phone number and does not upload your contacts. You share your own code with the people you want to hear from, by showing your screen or sending a link, and they arrive as a request you can accept or decline. Nobody can message you unless you have accepted them. VERIFIED WHEN IT MATTERS For conversations where it matters who is on the other end, Verus can attach a verified identity from Confrmo to your account, which the other person can check for themselves. It is optional, it expires and you can remove it at any time. WRITE IN YOURS, THEY READ IN THEIRS Type in your own language and your message arrives in theirs, in twenty languages. Translation happens on your phone using Apple's built-in translation, and the original text is always shown with it. SAFE TO USE Verus is for adults aged 18 and over. Everyone agrees to our terms before using it, and we do not tolerate abusive behaviour or objectionable content. You can report or block anyone from any conversation, reports are reviewed within 24 hours and accounts that break the terms are removed. How to contact us is in the app and at verusapp.co.uk. VIDEO MEETINGS WITH VERUS MEET Start a video meeting from New meeting and share the link. Guests join in their browser, with nothing to install and no account to make. Schedule a meeting from any chat or team channel and everyone gets a calendar invite that opens in Apple, Google and Outlook calendars. Meetings run on Verus's own infrastructure in London. VOICE CALLS Call anyone you have accepted, straight from the conversation. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Our servers pass encrypted messages along and cannot read them, and a message is removed from the server once it has been delivered. Groups, attachments and disappearing message timers are all encrypted on your phone. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Verus is run by Verus Communications Ltd. What our servers hold is published at verusapp.co.uk. VERUS PLUS Verus is free on one phone. Verus Plus adds your Mac and iPad to the same account, up to five devices, with no limit on calls and meetings, and keeps undelivered messages for up to 90 days. It is £0.99 a week, £2.99 a month or £29.99 a year in the UK; prices in other regions are shown in the app before you buy. A subscription renews at the same price at the end of each term unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the term ends, and your Apple account is charged. You can manage or cancel it in Settings under your name. Meeting invites now add to your calendar. Teams: one message box for several channels and people, Luna in every team, website and social links, and seats. Forward messages and Luna chats. Photos can be view once or timed. A chat with a teammate always shows in Chats too. A message now reaches every one of a person's devices, even if one of them fails. A voice note your device cannot read can be sent to Verus to be turned into text, if you ask. On a Mac, chats respond after you visit You, however deep you went. ### 2.7.0 — 2026-11-05 Take notes: record a meeting in the room on your device and get the notes and actions in Luna's chat. Verus tells the room first, never records a Verus call, and turns speech into text on your device. A business card for people in a Verus for Business team, to share as a link or a code. An emoji button in the message box. A chat now opens on the newest message, and read ticks are easier to see. Someone you have talked to for months is no longer treated as a new contact by the scam warning. If your device cannot save, usually because it is full, Verus says so and holds your messages until it can. On a Mac, chats respond again after you visit You. ### 2.6.4 — 2026-11-02 Clear chat: empty a conversation on both devices and carry on talking, from the chat's menu. If Verus warns you about a new contact you know, tap I know them and it won't warn you about them again. ### 2.6.3 — 2026-11-02 Luna's chat is always there in Chats, with Verus Plus offered just above it. When someone asks you to verify with Confrmo, the request now shows in the chat with a button to do it. Copy or forward anything Luna says, or the whole conversation, to a chat. Luna answers a sentence at a time, so you can start reading straight away. Luna can read your Gmail and Google Calendar, and replies send from your own mail account. Swipe a message to reply to it. The invite screen now shows examples of who to invite. ### 2.6 — 2026-10-31 Meet Luna Verus, an AI companion with Verus Plus. Talk to her about anything, day or night. Ask what needs you in your email and she leads with deadlines and money. She drafts replies you approve and can read aloud if you want her to. She is an AI, for adults, and your chats with her stay on your phone. Voice notes, which can be played, read aloud or shown as text. Calls and Invite now sit in their own tabs. ## Apps similar to Verus | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Dual Chat Sessions](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/dual-chat-sessions/id6757749936) | 5.0 (2) | Free | Social Networking | | [The Gallery Creatives](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/the-gallery-creatives/id6695726426) | 5.0 (1) | Free | Social Networking | | [Mumbrite](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/mumbrite/id6478812051) | — | Free | Social Networking | | [Web Summit](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/web-summit/id6748312475) | 5.0 (2) | Free | Social Networking | | [Hashtag Generator - ReachTags](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/hashtag-generator-reachtags/id6452754865) | 4.9 (372) | Free | Social Networking | | [Monal — XMPP Chat](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/monal-xmpp-chat/id317711500) | 3.7 (141) | Free | Social Networking | ## More apps by Confrmo Ltd. - [Confrmo](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/confrmo/id6786273262) - [Solidus Wallet](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/solidus-wallet/id6820223876) All apps by Confrmo Ltd.: https://appshunter.io/developer/6786273264 --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
