I couldn’t find that information prior to use the app. ### 3/5 — Downgraded for terrible support *2025-06-14, version 2.9.48* UPDATE 6-13/2025: (not so good) I am not sure if this coincides with the name change from IQBoxy to Veryfi, but the support is basically non-existent. I have had data corruption issues since Aug 2023 causing me to loose 20% of my receipts. After months of no resolution I am informed there is a “development freeze” with no guarantee the issue will be resolved and I am offered last month’s payment refunded. A 10-year paying customer and they offer me $5.99 back? First off, a development freeze should have no impact on supporting a paying customer on production code. I have been in hardware and software support for over 30 years. We had freezes all the time but we still support the production environment and our customers. It is a shame as the core app is excellent but without support it’s useless. Also, give us a phone number and a real person to talk to. At minimum a customer service portal where we can submit and track our issues My ORIGINAL REVIEW when they were IQBoxy. (It still applies) I am an app addict and I can say with confidence that this is the best receipt app that I have used, and I have tried a lot! I have completely replaced my bulky and inconvenient NeatReceipts setup. No more stuffing my receipts in my wallet, pocket or glove box until I can sit down at the laptop, unwrinkle my receipts and feed them through the scanner one at a time. That is if I can find all the old receipts and they hadn't faded so much I can't scan them. Now I just snap a photo of receipt and throw it away before I even step foot out of the store. Better yet I have setup my receipt email address to iqBoxy at stores that email receipts. This way I don't even need to snap a pic. Then in my leisure (waiting in line at Dutch Brothers for a coffee), I launch IQBoxy verify the receipt and fill in the tags. With my Rules I have set much of this is also done. The app is not perfect but none are. The reason I give it 5 stars even though it is not perfect is that they are very responsive to my requests and implement fixes and features quickly. One feature that would be nice is if the tag search and tag add were combined into one entry. If you keyed in a tag that was not already defined, the app would ask you if you would like to add it. Kudos IQBoxy! ### 4/5 — Was five star *2024-12-14, version 2.9.33* I’ve used this program for years and has been really a great program, but recently it consistently screws up the categories and the vendors and then it’s to change the vendor, major glitch!!! ### 2/5 — Not Discloo *2024-11-26, version 2.9.31* I did not know that there is a subscription. That should be stated clearly. So, how do I cancel my free trial? It’s a great app otherwise. ### 4/5 — Good product for Tracking money flow *2024-09-13, version 2.9.26* The product strength is the ability to capture receipts and payments in a single spot and analyze the receipts against budgets. Where I have seen a recent issue is the ability of the algorithm to identify expense types. For example, I have going to the same restaurant for years with it being classified as a meals expense. Now, the same restaurant is matching to something completely different and I need to manually edit it. ### 3/5 — Best receipt scanning app *2024-05-25, version 2.9.24* This is probably one of the best receipt scanning apps out there. It has pretty much everything that one would want from receipt organizing apps. Recently though, i had issues. When scanning receipt, it scans but when processing it simply disappears. ### 3/5 — Works sometimes *2024-03-13, version 2.9.21* I have just been trying this app out, and I like the concept but I don’t find that it’s reliable. I just have the starter version, but the camera takes a picture before I have it properly centered. After doing several pictures and deleting them because they weren’t picking up the tips that I paid at a restaurant, it told me that I couldn’t scan anymore because it was a starter version. the Help files say that there’s a way to turn off the automatic camera but the bottom line is I only got two receipts recorded before I ran out of tries available. ### 4/5 — I like *2024-02-13, version 2.9.19* Good all round app with all the needed features. Maybe worth it for businesses but for someone just wanting simple receipt storage/management there’s way more affordable options. ### 5/5 — Capturing receipts is fast *2023-08-31, version 2.9.1* Categories don’t apply to me, so it is not worth my time to use them. Capturing receipts is intuitive, but them doing something with them is not as intuitive. The report breaks down each item purchased and doesn’t summarize the receipt. So I am having to check and recheck if receipts have been captured. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Deceptive billing *2026-01-13, version 2.9.55* OCR and reporting works great. However I ran into a scam / deceptive billing with the limits. I purchased a subscription and there is a limit on the number of documents you can scan and then they want more per scan after that. I screen shot the billing page where no limits are listed, the limits are buried in the fine print and in the faqs. Given this is useless for my use case, I contacted support and they know it’s a scam “we don’t issue refunds for any reason” Stay away from this company/ app if you need to do any sort of volume processing. ### 1/5 — Recent technical issues *2025-04-12, version 2.9.41* I have used this app since about 2019 and was initially quite impressed, and in many ways, still am with what they do, however, if you are small, one does not receive any customer service when there are technical issues. I’ve been having issues since January (reported again since last year) with repeating bank feeds after reconciliation and issues with failed reports. Thus all the reports fail to generate and they have not resolved the duplicating feeds. So guess I need to give up on them. ### 1/5 — Subscription changed without warning or consent *2025-02-10, version 2.9.37* Subscription changed from cost effective annual to expensive monthly without notification or consent. You pick the timeframe and it will add your tag totals to completely wrong figure for that timeframe. Scanning of receipts doesn’t work all the time. Need help ### 1/5 — Not Sure Yet *2024-10-14, version 2.9.27* Thought this was a great idea. So I read through features. After downloading I reviewed the features. First I noticed that I could not creat my own categories. When I went in to use the ‘tag’ I could not get back to the receipt page. Then I looked in the settings and saw that there is a subscription. So I went back to the App Store to see where it is written that there is a paid subscription, and I still could not find it. But I could be missing it, so if someone can point it out to me I’d appreciate it. If not, I’ll be deleting it by the end of the day. ### 1/5 — Deceptive *2024-06-16, version 2.9.25* No mention of the required annual subscription in the app description. You have to give the developer your CC info directly instead of IAP making cancelation unnecessary complicated and security questionable. Lastly, there are solid options for a fraction of the price.
