### 4/5 — Super useful and simple

*2020-09-01, version 1.1.0*

As an OAB patient, this is very convenient. Thanks for a great app.

### 4/5 — Maybe to simple memo app

*2020-02-29, version 1.1.0*

I enter information in a app that does nothing with the information. There’s not even a clear distinction between intake vs voiding
It would be nice to be able to set a daily drink goal and see your progress
Also as a heart patient a graph showing intake vs voiding would be handy to watch for water retention.

### 4/5 — Good, but could be better

*2019-10-31, version 1.1.0*

I’m benefiting from the app, but I wish there was a way to add notes to the entries. I really need that feature so I’ll be looking for another app.

### 4/5 — Good not great

*2019-08-28, version 1.1.0*

Would be a useful tool for patients to use but there’s nowhere to document leakage with stress (coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc.). If that could be added it would be a great research tool.

### 4/5 — Very helpful

*2019-07-06, version 1.1.0*

This is a great bladder journal, but I wish it had an area for notes.

### 4/5 — Could add some features

*2019-03-06, version 1.1.0*

I wish it had a daily/weekly chart that showed fluid intake vs. output, and list the number of voids per day, because I’ve been calculating each day’s total by hand.

It would also be nice if the entries could show measurements in both ounces and milliliters.

Example: if I were to enter a drink volume of 8oz, that 240ml would show alongside it. The same would be beneficial for a daily/weekly sum.

### 4/5 — Lacks a few things

*2019-02-15, version 1.1.0*

Most Americans use ounces rather than ml. I would like a comment area. Eg, my therapist wants to know if I void during a shower, and if leakage occurs when I am sitting. I would prefer the word “awake” instead of “woke”

### 4/5 — Great app, just one suggestion

*2019-01-23, version 1.1.0*

It would be very helpful to add a Notes function where I can enter the details. For example, I had a spine injury & surgery that resulted in temporary incontinence which I recovered from but still have issues with starting/stopping, weak stream, and details like that I would like to be able to add with each entry.

### 4/5 — Pretty Good

*2018-12-22, version 1.1.0*

This app is simple, to a fault. I used it a lot, but during a busy work day, when I leave the bathroom, I don’t have time to tag my stop. If the app could easily be accessed through my Apple Watch, I could tag my activity in the bathroom, and keep a more accurate record.
Also, I’m still not clear on the meaning of some options, so I’m probably not noting accurately details about the voids. But I do have days when I record all my voids, and most of my drinks. If the Apple Watch worked with it, I’m sure I’d record more.

### 4/5 — Very helpful

*2018-08-05, version 1.1.0*

I needed a simple urine diary, which this does fit the bill. I like the custom options of filling in liquid intake and amount and voiding output and amount. It would be helpful to have a custom option to describe urine urgency. The type of urgency does not describe what I am going through. Otherwise, I really like the simple functions of the three categories and overview. It is very helpful to take a quick look at my day and is what I needed to help me get through a urinary tract infection.

**Developer response:** Thank you for all your great suggestions! I am currently working on version 2, and hope to provide the new features that you and others have suggested.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Features

*2019-04-20, version 1.1.0*

It’s hard to track water intake and no option for catheter or pee with out catheter. Also a comments field would be good

### 2/5 — Does not keep records accurately- I documented this am and it did not save - gone tonight

*2022-12-21, version 1.2.2*

Wish it worked

### 3/5 — Is something missing?

*2022-07-27, version 1.2.2*

I guess I just feel like there are a few boxes that should be on this sheet. Don’t get me wrong, simple is good but more goes into my bathroom visits.

### 3/5 — Great way to track voids.

*2022-06-25, version 1.2.2*

It would be nice if added a section for post void residual.

### 3/5 — Needs notes

*2019-11-22, version 1.1.0*

I am a 32 year old male having on going treatment for overactive bladder and being able to make/add a text note to each event would be beneficial when speaking to my doctor about urges I hope a future update to the app will enable this. However this app is super easy use and record each trip to the restroom it’s gets three stars only for the lack of notation ability

### 3/5 — Decent but not smart enough

*2019-08-24, version 1.1.0*

This logs how much you drink, what you drink, void and urgency. But it does not add it up. It gives you the option to get a report but that is only a list. I just want more and maybe that’s too much to expect from a graph. Wanted totals and simple charts.

### 3/5 — Good app

*2018-08-28, version 1.1.0*

A reminder would help through the day. Doesn’t give much detail but basic info to provide dr with.

### 4/5 — Includes holding it

*2023-10-11*

This is one of the only bladder diary apps out of about 8 I looked at that includes having the urge and holding it. If you’ve got OAB and you’re working on Delayed Voiding, you need that! Entering data is easy and fast. The notes section is good, and allows you to go back in and add information. I wish the report came out more compact — it spreads out over a lot of screens (or pages if you print it), which makes it hard to see how you’re doing. One thing that makes that worse is that it includes any field you tapped on, even if you didn’t enter any data in that field. As others have mentioned, totals would be incredibly useful. This app is kind of bare bones. I use Notes to add time since last void. I use Measurement to add urine color.

### 4/5 — Upgrade

*2023-07-19*

I love the ease of using this app. I only wish you would add a flowchart or graph to it for ease of looking at the trends of urinary symptoms and fluid intake. Also would like to be able t link it to my health app on Apple.

### 4/5 — Great but could easily be improved

*2020-10-08, version 1.1.0*

Super easy to use, but the data provided isn’t terribly helpful. It would be so simple to add some code that would provide average time between voids, average void with urgency, daily fluid intake, how many nighttime awakenings - all without asking the user for any additional info. Great potential.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Sleek, simple and it works!

*2023-12-14*

This app is the best one out there for adult or even kid incontinence issues and tracking symptoms!
PROS:
* It’s not named some disclosing name like “my bed wetting app” or whatever, so nobody can just look at the logo and know what it is.
* It’s very simple, doesn’t over complicate anything by adding unnecessary detail or information.
* You can choose from several ways of bladder retention, (e.g held it with urge, had urge didn’t go, etc”.
* There is a “noted” space so you can type in important information or details that you need to add.
Overall, this is a great app, developed by a student and I think they did a fantastic job! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2022-11-27, version 1.2.2*

Very simple app that does what it needs to.

### 5/5 — Better alternative than paper

*2022-11-14, version 1.2.2*

I was given a paper voiding diary by my doctor to use for 48 hours. Using paper seemed so dated, I figured there might be an app developed for it. Turns out there were several, however Vesica was the only one that wasn’t tied to equipment and was completely free. It made tracking SO much easier. My only request: add some flexibility to the summary so users can sort data. Thank you for this app!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2022-11-13, version 1.2.2*

I’m grateful to have found this app. I downloaded all the other free ones and they are not as user friendly. This app is simplified and the fact that I can download and print the summary chart is fantastic! My PFPT gave me guidelines on sheet paper to log but this is so much easier. I’ve been using it to track my bowels. Overall this is user friendly and simple app that does exactly as I need. My PT and doctor thought it was great! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Hello

*2021-01-10, version 1.1.0*

I like this because REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

### 5/5 — Perfect bladder diary app.

*2020-10-23, version 1.1.0*

This app works perfectly for what I need- which is a way to record if I’m cathing through my mitrofanoff enough and how much is voided. Thanks for making it!

### 5/5 — Simple and almost perfect

*2020-09-06, version 1.1.0*

Love the ease of inputting my data. I only wish there was a place to put my personal notes. Not just the generated ones that come with the app. (update) changed to five stars, because you can make longer notes in the cells. Instead, I’m having a separate note section.

### 5/5 — Thankful for this app

*2020-04-11, version 1.1.0*

It is so easy to use. I was trying to keep up with all my information in my notes on my phone. Sometimes I would forget to record something. This app has almost everything I need to record right there, and I don’t have to try to remember what else or the format. And I can print it all out! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Easy to use and simple

*2020-02-18, version 1.1.0*

Decided to actually keep track of how many times a day I was urinating rather than guesstimate. This is easy to use and keeps track well. I do wish there was a way to log notes, ie “I was stuck in a car & could not immediately get to a toilet” or describe how big the leak was, “the pad caught the urine” or “I peed all over my pants”. But this is an excellent way to keep track of frequency and urgency.

### 5/5 — Easy to use but should sync w iOS devices

*2019-03-16, version 1.1.0*

Great app. My only wish is that it would sync with my iPad making it easier to read.
Very easy to use.
