Vespere is a Bible app built for quiet, unhurried time with Scripture. No clutter, no noise, just the Word, beautifully presented and always free.

Read the Bible
Read the King James Version anywhere, stored on your device so it works without a connection, plus the World English Bible. Scripture is set in a calm serif with spacing made for reading and your choice of font size. Move through all 66 books, organised into Old and New Testament, swipe between chapters as you read, and track your progress chapter by chapter with a gentle completion indicator for each book.

A Verse for Every Day
Begin each day with a verse of the day drawn from a full year of Scripture, and a daily devotional: a short passage, a reflection question, and a closing prayer. Write your own reflection and return to past devotionals whenever you need them.

Find Scripture for Every Moment
Browse 35+ topics, including love, fear, grief, hope, family, anxiety, marriage, identity and more, and find curated verses that meet you where you are.

Pray with Purpose
Keep a personal prayer list and mark prayers as answered over time. Draw on a library of classic and historic public domain prayers, from the Lord's Prayer to Augustine, Julian of Norwich, and the Book of Common Prayer. Check in each day with a simple "Have you prayed today?"

Keep What Moves You
Highlight verses as you read, and highlight them anywhere they appear: in the reader, in a reading plan, or in your daily devotional. Your highlights follow the verse wherever you meet it again. A new name, a new chapter.

Verse is now Vespere. It is the same app you know, with the same Scripture at its heart, and 
everything you have made is exactly where you left it: your notes, highlights, prayers, and 
reading progress all carried over.

What's new in 2.0:

- Widgets. Keep a verse with you through the day, on your home screen and lock screen.

- Swipe between chapters. Move through a book the way you would turn a page.

- A year of daily verses. The verse of the day now draws from 365 passages, with many more 
devotionals to sit with.

- Highlight anywhere. Tap to highlight a verse in the reader, in a reading plan, or in your 
daily devotional. Your highlights follow you wherever that verse appears.

- Commentary where you need it. Matthew Henry's notes are now reachable at the end of every 
chapter, not just the top.

- Reading progress. A quiet line that fills as you read, so you can see how far you have come.
