With the latest update I can connect but get zero telemetry from the battery. It’s basically a dumb battery now and I feel like I was cheated. That’s what you get for trusting unknown brands. ### 1/5 — Broken for batteries *2024-04-21, version 1.1.6* Bought Li batteries just 1 yr ago - app now manually connects with bluetooth but all data is zeros. Worst programmers ever. Batteries seem to actually work okay, but omissions seem likely on purpose to avoid confusion and warranty claims… ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2024-04-17, version 1.1.6* Bought batteries June of 23 and downloaded this App. It worked but poorly like everyone says. Then the app auto updated in early April of 24 and now is completely non functional. Unable to see any data from my batteries even though I was able to get it to connect to each one. I bought the batteries because they had built in communication, but now I have none. The app is terrible. *2023-08-27, version 1.1.2* The app started out rough around the edges, but did provide the necessary information. Now the app is completely useless. My battery always reads 100%. Individual cell data is gone. EFC count is gone. Everything useful about the app is gone or not functioning. Even when I know I am discharging from the battery, the status says “idle” Why update an app to make it worse? Please fix. ### 1/5 — DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE!!! *2023-07-10, version 1.1.2* The recent update killed some of the best features like the individual cell voltages and the total cycle count! The original version of the app was why I bought their battery over some of the other brands… well not any more!! Now the app is just a basic voltage/amp meter!! Wish I read some of the reviews before I did the update… it really deserves ZERO stars now!! ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2023-06-29, version 1.1.2* Can’t scan barcode to add the battery tried using Bluetooth search and when you select the battery matching barcode it never pairs. Just circles as if it is trying to connect. Spent an hour circling. Deleted app and redownloaded it and same problem. Tried another device. Same thing. The app only wants you to go to a website to give permission to your photos through we website. Why do that. That’s not safe. Scammer app. ### 1/5 — Poorly Designed App Gets Worse *2023-06-26, version 1.1.2* This app was very limited in functionality to begin with, but it used to show the most important thing, individual pack cell voltage. From this one could derive state of charge and health / balance of the cells. No more, it’s gone. They also removed the cycle count for how many charge cycles the battery has seen. Connectivity has gotten no better. I’d give it a 0 star rating if that were an option. But since shows total pack voltage and of the battery is charging or discharging, I guess maybe it’s worthy of a 1 star. ### 1/5 — Took away features and didn’t add the one it needed *2023-06-14, version 1.1.2* With the last update they removed and cycle count and cell voltages. But they failed to add the feature to remember the battery so you don’t have to connect again. Also the barcode scanning to connect to the battery is no longer working. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worst app I’ve ever used for anything *2025-05-01, version 1.3.4* As a prior review, said the app does not show individual cell voltage when originally when I bought my Battery a couple years ago it did and then they wiped it. My guess is they probably did not want people to see how poor the balancing is. So I updated this new version thinking oh OK. Maybe it’s better. NOPE! It replaced my old app that at least showed some info but now this new app update won’t even populate any data! From day 1, Worst app EVER! I also downloaded the Overkill Solar app The BMS would show up there but no such luck. Not a great experience at all with this Battery which is a shame as I was planning to buy a few more. I know they make other products, but I will never buy anything from Vestwoods again. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2025-01-19, version 1.0.30* …ar ALL! ### 1/5 — It used to have cell voltage but update removed it. *2025-01-06, version 1.0.28* 1/6/2025 UPDATE - Use the Pow Bank app by the same developer to get the telemetry for the 100AH battery. 8/8/2024 UPDATE - I keep awaiting updates that make the telemetry work again but every update does not work like it used to. When will you fix it ? ### 1/5 — App not working anymore *2024-10-27, version 1.2.6* The app was never very good to begin with, but at least you could connect to each battery and make sure of its charge state. Now it doesn’t populate any data on the app. Due to this when I bought four additional batteries, I did not buy the same brand of battery. I changed brands ### 1/5 — New version doesn’t work *2024-09-25, version 1.2.6* Old version had issues connecting from time to time, but I have not been able to get the redesigned app to work. The individual cell voltages missing is a real disappointment. Overall one big fail. I will not be recommending this battery anymore. ### 1/5 — Completely Useless *2024-09-16, version 1.2.6* Giving this app one Star is being overly generous. Although the app was written in congee, at least the numbers could be derived and interpreted on the website. That was before an update in early 2024. Since then, I’ve been unable to log into the app at all, even when I enter in my email address for the app to send me a verification code to allow me to change my password. It’s probably just as well. The information in it had become so useless. ### 1/5 — Latest app stops working! The app doesn’t automatically reconnect to the battery, so I remember the Bluetooth ID to re-establish the link. For some reason my app no longer shows the individual cell charges, just the overall surplus charge. ### 3/5 — Latest Version Bluetooth not working *2024-07-26, version 1.2.6* The App is not displaying any values when connecting via Bluetooth to the VESTWOODS 12V 240Ah LiFePO4 batteries. ### 3/5 — It used to have cell voltage but update removed it. *2024-02-28* App is basic ### 3/5 — Cell voltage *2024-01-03, version 1.1.5* To see individual cell voltage you need to place finger on Memory Usage line until a password box opens and type in the letters - admin ### 3/5 — Why remove cycle count? *2023-06-10, version 1.1.2* With the latest update, the cycle count has been removed. Now there is no way to track the batteries cycles. The status section also does not give feedback and the information area is blank. Please fix as the App is a disappointment as the batteries are great. ### 3/5 — Good Start *2022-09-29, version 1.1* Nice start to the app. Will give 5 stars with some improvements: Reestablish Bluetooth connection automatically. I have like 10 of their batteries and bought them in large part because of the app showing cell voltages and cycles.
