The website / app doesn’t support low network capabilities. Held a recruitment event and the website kept crashing during member sign up ### 3/5 — Outdated content *2022-01-07, version 2.4.3* The app is exciting and should be useful for members to locate posts, recruit new members and receive news from National. Unfortunately the info is stale and outdated. Links to the 120th convention in 2019? Guess nobody’s fixing it. *2019-12-31, version 2.0.5* Well that was an awful lot of verification for an application that doesn’t do anything. The last review was in August saying the same thing so I guess nobody is working on it. ### 2/5 — Ok app (update 9/16/19) *2019-09-16, version 2.0.5* The layout is cool. I haven’t really explored all the features. One I am having issues with is the “find a post” feature. Once I type in a location it just spins like it’s thinking about what to do. And then the app has a minor freeze where I have to exit out of it and go back in. Easy fix. Once I explore more of the features I’ll have a better idea on it. Update 9/16/19 After spending more time exploring this app it’s not all that great. Most of the links just end up taking you to the website anyway. This is an issue as apps are supposed to be more convenient. It would also be nice to have the biometric login option that a lot of other apps have. This would bring ease of access to people like me that can’t remember all of our passwords and logins all the time. The other issue is there is no link for “contact us” or a link for the VFW store. For this you still need to visit the website and navigate through it. Another easy fix as you bring the rest of the app up to par. Many newer vets use their phones more often than a laptop or desktop, having access to VFW information through the app is important. ### 2/5 — Great Concept! *2019-08-21, version 2.0.5* This is a great concept if it worked properly. I gave up trying to use it and went to the website off my laptop. I downloaded this thinking it would be handy and easier, instead it’s frustrating because it doesn’t appear to work it should. It keeps saying "You are now returning to VFW" then it goes to a blank white screen. Cannot login any way I try. Maybe the VFW should take mine and everyone elses $45 membership fee and put it towards an app that is worthy of even downloading. I am shocked and appalled that the VFW has not the decency to even reply to members feedback on this atrocious app. We gladly give our member fee to reap the benefits of using the app to see our membership and renew when it's time. Pitiful. Disgraceful and dishonorable to veterans. Needless to say I won't give the VFW any more of my money. I will reroute my funds to the DAV. Fix the issue or be prepared to lose many more members in the future. ### 1/5 — Needs Work *2019-07-30, version 2.0.5* Unable to login with either option from iPhone, just get a white screen. Even if select forgot username or password, I get “page cannot be found”. Wasted money on this app, as it’s had the same problems from a year ago to now. Numerous times I have tried to recruit from the app. I’m extremely inclined and using it properly. The app won’t let you select the state, the app is extremely faulty. Needs a lot of bugs fixed. Just to put it simply, it’s a complete waste of time. The app is useless in my opinion. Just call state and annoy them for recruiting bec this app only lets you get sent to the website…also needs fixed ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-08-28, version 2.8.0* Won’t let me log in. I been downloading this app from time to time over the last few years and each time no matter what I do it crashes with a server error. the VFW send so much information in the mail-that they should relax on it and use some of that funding to get this app fixed and then they may have better interaction with vets and members until then this app is absolutely trash ### 1/5 — Not functional *2022-10-06, version 2.5.3* Terrible- can’t get it to sign on. If this app has a website, you can open a web browser and try signing in from there.
