## What is Veterans Walkway?

Walk in the footsteps of history along Calgary's Memorial Drive.

The Veterans Walkway app is your companion to 31 bronze medallions honouring Calgary veterans who served from the First World War to today. Follow the interactive map from Mewata Armoury to 14 Street Bridge, along Memorial Drive to George C. King pedway bridge.

As you reach each medallion, stories unlock with photos and audio. Can't walk the route in person? Explore every story from home, browse by theme, and search the full story collection in the app.

– Interactive map of all 31 medallions along Memorial Drive
– Over 100 stories, photos, and audio in four languages
– Storylines are grouped by theme
- Load storylines and stories by proximity to a medallion
– Free to use, no account or subscription required

The Veterans Walkway is a public memorial project preserving the stories of Calgary's veterans, events, and places. The app is a guide, not a navigation tool - please stay alert to traffic and your surroundings while walking the route.
