I check this app, tell the friend what it says about the food choice & recommend that they download the app. I have used it with my own pets many times when they are begging for a piece of the fruit I am eating. I appreciate your feedback!! ### 3/5 — Great app substantively but too hard to see the writing *2021-11-10* This app is very handy but the writing that tells the side effects or directions on what to do if the animal has eaten the substance is white on a translucent white background - barely noticeable, let alone readable. I’ll gladly update my rating if a change is made to fix that. People are going to the app for advice and may already be really stressed about their pet getting into food or medication - they want to get either guidance or reassurance fast and not be struggling to read what the app has to say. **Developer response:** Hi Kim, Are you using dark screen? Dr. D. :-) ### 5/5 — Prevents unnecessary worry and emergency vet visits *2019-10-02* My dog eats weird, unexpected things frequently. I can do my best to dog proof my house but he finds a way sometimes. Other times he finds something outside during our walks and with speed of light reflexes, I’m too late as he tries to evade me so he can eat his disgusting find. This app has saved me from spending hours anxiously googling various things my dog eats and the dread of going to the emergency vet all for them to say he’s fine as they take $200 just to look at him. The best part is when the app doesn’t have the weird thing your dog ate, you just email them and they respond back ASAP and put it in the app. Highly recommend for pet parents with determined and mischievous pets. I own three Brittany’s and I love giving them snacks of various fruits. Now I don’t have to go searching all over the web to find the answer. I agree with the other review that at $3.99 it seems a bit steep, but when I look at the cost of giving something harmful to my dog and the associated vet bill, it’s certainly a LOT less expensive.
