### 2/5 — If you don’t take cases in Las Vegas, Nevada, then don’t answer your phone

*2026-06-29, version 3.54.0*

Why take somebody’s money over the phone when you can’t help them because you live in a certain State.. This is unacceptable and should be fixed.

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2026-05-24, version 3.50.0*

This company intentionally scams its customers. Yes, they clearly put on their website that providers outside of your state cannot prescribe medication. But, they don’t tell you which providers are within your state or not. So you could pay $100 for a 15min virtual apt for them to tell you there’s nothing you can do and you need to contact the support team. Then, support runs you in circles with scripted AI responses (yes, probably coming from a live person). They give you the run around, provide a number to call but then tell you it’s only for voice messages. So, the customer is left with being out $100 and they claim it’s the customer’s fault cause they wanted us on their website. I’m tempted to send my experience to the Indiana Attorney General.

### 4/5 — Message

*2026-05-21, version 3.50.0*

Difficult to find how to message a vet. The message notifications email is not linked to the app, every time I click on the link asking me to download the app but I have already had the app downloaded.

### 1/5 — Check Your State Laws Before Paying for Vetster

*2026-05-20*

I was previously very happy with Vetster and had successfully used their virtual veterinary service in the past, which is why I renewed my $120 membership. Before renewing, I even contacted customer service with questions.
What I was not told is that recent legal changes now prevent veterinarians in Washington, and many other states, from prescribing medications through virtual appointments. During my appointment, the vet informed me she could only give advice and refer me to an in-person veterinarian.
Had Vetster clearly disclosed this before taking my payment, I would not have renewed and would have used that money toward a physical vet visit instead.
What upset me most was how customer service handled the situation afterward. When I requested a refund, I was told memberships are non-refundable, and the responses were dismissive and rude. I was also told medications were “up to the veterinarian’s discretion,” which was misleading because the issue was actually a legal restriction, not the vet’s personal choice.
I ultimately disputed the charge through my card provider and won.
Vetster used to be a genuinely valuable service before these law changes, but the company needs to be far more transparent with customers in affected states before charging for memberships. I strongly encourage pet owners to check their own state laws regarding virtual veterinary prescribing before subscribing, especially since laws changed recently in 2026.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing this, and we're sorry to hear about your experience. Legislation around virtual veterinary care varies by state and continues to evolve. While we do include a disclaimer at checkout that prescriptions depend on the vet's assessment and your state's laws, we hear your feedback and are taking it seriously.

Even when regulations get in the way of a prescription, our vets can provide valuable advice and a clear plan for next steps, and we're sorry that wasn't the experience you had here.

If you'd like to connect further, our team is available via live chat on our website or at support@vetster.com.

### 1/5 — Turned scammy

*2026-05-19, version 3.50.0*

Had a vet get me on a medication different from what my dog would get fairly frequently for ear infections. I was only able to order it online because I live in a rural area and it ended up being an extra 120. They wouldn’t let me cancel the subscription and go a different route. Used to be a real good app. Be careful of what vet you’re using

### 1/5 — Vets cannot prescribe medicine online in Texas

*2026-05-16, version 3.50.0*

They will not give you a refund waste of money

### 1/5 — Not helpful

*2026-05-15, version 3.50.0*

I bought a subscription because my dog has high anxiety going to the vet and I thought this would help. The first vet I saw was helpful. The 2nd appt I had a different vet prescribed meds. When I went to have the order filed the pharmacist said the vet had 16 charges of animal cruelty against him and refused to fill the script. I chatted with someone to file a complaint and they told me they would send the script to another pharmacy and report the issue to a supervisor. I never heard from anyone and when I went to the other pharmacy they never received the prescription. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-05-12, version 3.50.0*

The only thing that they’re interested is making more money. You have a 48 hour window to email your Vet. prescription instructions were not clear so if you have any questions you’re gonna have to pay another $102 to speak to your vet .You don’t get your prescriptions till after that. As I said, they’re more interested in making money instead of the well-being of your pet.

### 1/5 — Affordable Help for Expensive Prescription Food

*2026-05-10, version 3.49.0*

What a Joke. They can stick those prices where the sun doesn’t shine.

### 3/5 — Ripoff

*2026-05-01, version 3.49.0*

Wasted $120 only to be told that my state doesn’t allow telemedicine prescriptions.
Seems like something that you should disclose at signup.

UPDATE:
I emailed support and they promptly issued a refund. I’m adding two more stars for the honesty and integrity.
It should still be disclosed at sign up.

### 1/5 — Just terrible

*2026-04-30, version 3.49.0*

Their doctor said they were having issues with the app and the volume. After laying the $120 and scheduling an apt it was impossible to hear him or continue. And the Doctor to be honest seemed very impatient as though he was squeezing in our appointment. Will cancel membership and get money back. These apps are NO SUBSTITUTE for genuine warmth and compassion that you would expect from a veterinary professional. Save your money.

### 2/5 — Not as advertised

*2026-04-25, version 3.49.0*

The list of available Vets looks robust before you pay. Not so much after you pay.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-04-23, version 3.48.0*

This is a scam. Do not give them your card info.

### 1/5 — Crazy expensive

*2026-04-21, version 3.48.0*

$100 just to be seen. Then a $15 service charge on top of your prescription total. That’s absolutely insane! I was hoping to love and utilize this app but unfortunately it is way more expensive than stopping in the local vet. I also was told 24 hours for the script to arrive. Upon check out it’s showing 7 days. How is an animal with n ear infection supposed to go 7 days without an antibiotic.
Get your delivery time in check!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2026-08-25, version 3.56.0*

The app sucks it’s only good if you are in Ontario

### 1/5 — Unable to cancel

*2026-08-12, version 3.55.0*

If I was able to cancel rating would be better. The vet and care was 4. But I wish to cancel program now and there is no way to cancel. Poor design.

### 1/5 — Check the state!

*2026-08-09, version 3.55.0*

Make sure when you schedule an appt you make sure the provider can prescribe medications in your state. They will tell you they cannot give meds but will continue with consultation. Then tell you to schedule another appt for a licensed provider to give a prescription for your state. Thankfully the provider I saw gave me otc options in the note. Basically a waste of time. Chat gpt could have done the same thing unfortunately.

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2026-07-23, version 3.55.0*

There’s a reason there are veterinarians in your neighborhood! This place is going to take your money, you will not save money or take a shortcut here ! Do what’s right by your animal and your heart ! Told us same thing Google was and she was just looking up symptoms online!!

### 1/5 — Mrs. T.

*2026-07-14, version 3.55.0*

The doctors are good, but team communication is really bad. Unless you are doing nothing and seating on your phone 24/7.
Your animal will die before you get your medication. If you are a busy person, just go directly to the doctor. Your communication with the team will take all your time, that you can use for work or getting done some other tasks.
I loved the doctor and was so happy for some savings. But if you do not get your meds or if it takes 2-3 weeks to get them all the doctor’s work is pointless.
Extremely disappointing .

### 1/5 — App functionality sucks

*2026-07-12, version 3.54.0*

Why won’t it let me send to my pharmacy?

### 1/5 — Thievery abounds

*2026-07-10, version 3.54.0*

Do not do
it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Unconscionable Price Gauging

*2026-06-30*

My dog had diarrhea while traveling and I had spent two nights getting up every two hours. He’s a very healthy young dog so I knew I probably just needed some meds. Talked with a vet. She basically confirmed he was fine and just needed som meds to calm his tummy and stop the diarrhea. She said I would get a visit summary and I could have the meds mailed to my hotel. I waited all day for the visit summary and a confirmation that meds are on the way. Fed him chicken and rice as I had been to help make the situation better. But he started having diarrhea again late at night. Headed to the ER to get meds. Took 15 minutes and another $300 (on top of the $100 I paid on vetster). Got the meds and my dog and I finally got some sleep. Next morning I finally get the visit summary and the prescription for the meds. Turns out that the same “prescription meds” are available at many different stores around the country for $29 when this vetster vet wanted to charge me $90 some bucks for the EXACT same medication…same exact packing, same exact ingredients, same exact strength. WOW…I know vet care is a business but come on. This is just not right! $102 for a 10-15 minute call with a vet that helped me zero and then had to wait 24 hours to get a script I didn’t even need. I would rather pay more to see an emergency vet and get help right away and get some sleep for me and my lovely doggo 😊🙏🏻

**Developer response:** We're sorry this is not the experience we want for any pet parent and we want to look into this as soon as possible. Please contact us at support@vetster.com or use live chat at vetster.com with your appointment details so we can help.

### 1/5 — Charged me for a visit that did not happen !

*2026-06-26, version 3.54.0*

I was just charged $137 to my debit card for a “visit” for an appointment I never made !
I haven’t used this app since 2024 & no longer have the dog that the email said they had an appointment with

### 1/5 — Deception

*2026-05-27, version 3.51.0*

This is a greedy and dishonest site. Don’t waste your time and money on deceptive practices! You ask for a simple tick and flea prescription, but instead, they are pushing for the sale of their products at their price. They are thinking we are all stupid here and we should pay for their misleading, not satisfactorily, services. No service, no pay!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Lifesaver!!

*2026-07-19, version 3.55.0*

This app is great. In a world of vet appointments that are 2 weeks away from when you need them, this app is perfect for most things that aren’t immediate emergencies. Every vet professional i’ve dealt with through Vetster has been amazing.

### 5/5 — It’s a miracle

*2026-06-29, version 3.54.0*

When it’s something that doesn’t required an office visit, it’s Vetster , 100%

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2026-04-30, version 3.49.0*

Vetster is amazing option for pet medical care! We have 3 Westies and Dr. Roy has been a tremendous aid in helping us care for our loving fur babies. We are most grateful for his and the whole Vetster team for genuine concern and loving servitude! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Doggie with Issues

*2026-04-23*

After purchasing the yearly subscription I have been pleased to know there is my Vet available, Michelle Lapera has been an Angel She has addressed so many concerns as they appear, She takes time to explain ailments, what to use, how to administer, what to watch out for, out three phone calls are mostly trying different things to treat dogs ear infections that seem ruthless, now an allergic reaction-I am more at ease when our call is done, let me add the only thing I would change about Vester, is the 48hours you have to communicate how the medication is working or any other concerns, it should have where the doctor has a message board, because sometimes it takes medication 4-6 days to arrive, to administer and to see any changes. But I like the doctor She is very helpful, professional with advice, pleasant to talk to...

### 5/5 — 10/10 Care When You Need It Most

*2026-04-21, version 3.48.0*

We live in a time where customer service, compassion, and timely medical care feel harder and harder to come by—especially when it comes to pets. Being able to see a veterinarian last minute is almost unheard of.

Vetster has been incredible. Dr. Levisman and the Vetster team showed up when it mattered most—7 AM appointments for a sick dog and cat, and then continued support later in the day helping me navigate getting prescriptions filled. That kind of follow-through is rare.

The convenience and affordability alone is amazing, but what really stands out is the genuine care and responsiveness. In stressful situations, that makes all the difference.

Honestly… what did I do before this?

### 5/5 — Cat Vet Appointment

*2026-04-20, version 3.47.0*

Saw Dr Banks. She is so thorough and professional. Helped with understanding my cats ear infections issues and provided needed meds. Love the service and Dr Banks.

### 5/5 — Vet Appointment

*2026-04-15, version 3.47.0*

She was very informative and very friendly

### 5/5 — Such a resource!

*2026-04-04, version 3.47.0*

I’m not sure I’ve ever left a review for an app but this app is a lifesaver at a time when I really needed it. The ease of accessing care at a time when everything else was falling apart was the best. The vet I saw, Dr. Owens was amazing and this app makes it so easy to get prescriptions and everything else. Give it a try. You won’t regret it!
