## What is Veyl?

Veyl is a travel day tracker for long-stay travelers, digital nomads, and frequent flyers who need to know — at a glance — how many days they've spent in each country.

Log a trip. Veyl counts the days. That's the whole product.

WHY DAY COUNTING MATTERS

Most countries set day limits that change something important once you cross them:
• Schengen Area — 90 days in any rolling 180-day window
• Many countries — 183 days per calendar year as a common stay reference
• Visa stays — often capped at 30, 60, 90, or 180 days
• Insurance policies — usually require you to stay outside your home country a minimum number of days per year

Miss a count and the consequences range from inconvenient (a fine at the border) to expensive (a voided insurance policy or an unwelcome tax letter). Veyl exists so you never miss a count.

Everything lives on your device. No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Your trip log is yours. If you delete the app, your data is gone — Veyl doesn't keep a copy.

Location detection (optional) uses cell-tower handoffs to spot border crossings. It runs in the background only on significant location changes — battery cost is negligible, and the lookup is on-device.
