The app barely works and just logging in is a lottery which you’ll lose every time. Was planning on doing a short stay in Italy but literally impossible due to the caveman nature of this app. Ideally should be reported directly to the consulate as this just deters folks from visiting. ### 1/5 — Worst App Log in system *2026-07-02* Ignore this 1 star review for it deserves none Aside from all the abysmal reviews that are 100% justifiable. I would also like to add that on top of all the bad reviews the app design is utterly garbage. Picture this: You are using an app that requires you to be active but then logs you out after you have been inactive for a certain amount of time. Perfectly reasonable yes? But then, the same app counts your logs in every single time. And it will then lock you out after you have made several log in attempts. This is the app. Whose brilliant idea was this? Auto log out is normal. But what imbecile decided to CAP the amount of times you log in AFTER IT ASKS YOU TO LOGOUT due to inactivity?????? Checking for slots everyday multiple times. Not having slots is one thing and today when I saw just one opening the stupid app logged me out and haven’t been able to check slots after that.. it’s like the apps not working and there’s nothing we can do. There’s no option for help in app it is extremely irritating. Between the random logouts, the constant suspensions, and the relentless parade of errors, using this is like participating in a digital escape room where the prize is just more frustration. Honestly, well done! it takes a special kind of vision to make tech this consistently unusable. ### 1/5 — A failing system - No slots No support *2026-05-09* I have been attempting to book a Schengen visa appointment through VFS Global for Italy (UK) for over three weeks, checking the system every single day without success. No slots have been available at either London or Manchester during this entire period. When I contacted support for guidance, I received no useful information whatsoever — just generic responses that did nothing to help resolve the issue. This level of service is simply not acceptable. People have travel plans, financial commitments, and tight timelines. A system that shows zero availability for weeks on end, with no transparency on when slots will open, is failing its users completely. My suggestions to VFS: • Publish a clear schedule of when new slots are released • Increase appointment capacity to meet demand • Train support staff to provide actual, actionable guidance • Consider opening additional centres to handle the volume I hope the relevant authorities take this feedback seriously. Thousands of applicants are in the same situation and deserve a functional, transparent service. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-05-02* In this current age of digital space who in the world developed this app? The last useless thing I have ever seen and not fit for purpose. Who do you insist that people use an app that you have received multiple complaints about to book appointments that doesn’t exits. I dont understand why have you built this app if you cant give the service whats been required for. Like literally only appointments available in Edinburgh and uou give for long stay in rest. Wouldn’t give this app even 1 star if I had the choice. It says my account is locked even after 1 login attempt. The app loads extremely slowly, constantly shows connection errors, and makes booking almost impossible. Even when I finally log in, there are no available dates to be found. On the rare occasion a slot appears, trying to book it just fails with another connection error. Very frustrating and unreliable! ### 1/5 — Unfortunately I cannot give it zero stars *2026-04-22* I am lost for words by how utterly awful this app is. You cannot book a tourist visa any other way but via this app and all it does it kick you out or block your account. You phone VFS and all they say is only use mobile data and not WIFI and to delete the app and reinstall before trying again only for you to end up in the same cycle of getting blocked again. Sometimes it doesn’t work on WiFi and you have to use data. Very difficult to login and find appointments and book them. Have to enter booking details each time because it doesn’t save profiles. ### 1/5 — Worst app in the world *2026-04-20* This is worst app in the world. It’s not possible to book an appointment. It locks your account saying there were multiple unsuccessful login attempts, even if you only tried once. Even if you somehow get past that and find an available slot, while booking it shows an error saying “something went wrong” and locks you again. ### 1/5 — Account got locked out! Booking didn’t go through *2026-04-17* Really bad app. Logged in and booked an appointment but it said my payment failed but money went through. Booking is not confirmed and I can book a new one either. My account got temporarily locked out for 5 hours. Cant even do a simple thing. Just give this to a uni student they will make a better app. Just worthless company doesn’t care about people ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-04-15* Worst ever app. Not available to book appointment, it locks you saying multiple unsuccessful login attempts, even if you are logging in once. And if by good luck you by pass this and find slot, while booking it says something went wrong and lock you again. And the more worst thing is you can’t book via web log in, as short say appointment can only be booked via app. If you have no capacity to make this app efficient then why you are not allowing booking via web??? ### 1/5 — Worst app nothings works *2026-03-02* I have being trying for ages to login first it didn’t let me in for long time by saying too high volume application and then finally when I got in it keep getting stuck after photo. I have tried 57 times by now and giving up on this app and this visa. Such a waste of time. We have to wait for the slots to be released at random times with a passport and our phone to scan and then after just logging in , the slots will disappear. This is such a scam for non EU citizens. And after doing all of these and submitting all the paperworks, they will give you a 5 days visa🙏🏼 ### 1/5 — Anyone ever booked a slot via the app at all? *2026-08-03* Downloaded this app for Italy tourist visa. A few years ago I booked appt slot via web but now the whole experience changed after VFS decided to force ppl to use the App. You will probably experience every single problem mentioned in the app review section, while still unable to book a single appt for yourself after 2 weeks. I was stuck at the passport verification stage and no matter how it keeps saying image validation failed. Very likely I’ll have to change my travel plan. Well done VFS! ### 1/5 — 37 *2026-08-02* This app is absolutely ridiculous. I try to log in everyday and hope to get a slot. But as long as I try to search over three time, the app blocks me because I exceeded the limits. One day I finally find a slot, I enter the system and scan my password. When I add my information, it says image verification failed. I try to add my information again. The system blocks me again saying I exceeded the try limits!!!! This app is absolutely a disaster and nightmare! How can government trust this app and this company. The only thing they can do is block users and let those robots get slots. ### 1/5 — Getting error “image validation failed” while adding an applicant to book an appointment *2026-08-01* DESPITE OF CONTACTING SO MANY TIMES, THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED. CLEARLY THERE IS A BUG IN THE APP WHILE “SCANNING” THE PASSPORT TO ADD MYSELF AS AN APPLICANT. MY PASSPORT IS VALID TILL 2035... AND ITS HAPPENING ONLY WHEN I CHOOSE “EDINBURGH” AS MY APPOINTMENT CENTER. Garbage app. I have already missed several available appointments because of this issue. If the passport scanning feature is not working reliably, there should at least be an option to enter the passport details manually so applicants can proceed with their booking. Since the original passport is submitted during the visa application process for verification and stamping, making manual entry unavailable creates an unnecessary barrier. ### 1/5 — Image validation errors *2026-07-31* I have never had a visa application process this frustrating in my life. If you can’t even maintain a functioning application, how are you running this business? At this point, you should just shut it down and hand it over to TLC Connect. 0 star is the reasonable one for your service. The sad part, if you wanna fly to Italy from UK. Tried booking an appointment but it didn’t let me open the page. There were 3 steps that I need to fill in before pressing Continue in the Book an Appointment page but it wont let me! I’ve been on it for weeks! Why create an app that is so unreliable? Its frustrating! Its not an upgrade for VFS! The app is as frustrating as the personnel!
