## What is VGI App Ingolstadt?

The VGI app is the free companion for your smartphone for timetable information and e-ticketing of the Verkehrsverbund Großraum Ingolstadt (VGI).
With just a few clicks, the VGI app helps you to find a journey by bus, train or our on-demand service "VGI Flexi" in the whole association area. If you don't know where the next stop is, you can also use our door-to-door navigation. Our timetable information is real-time based and shows you the current delay or cancellations, as well as diversions/route closures. Also you can buy easily and conveniently a ticket as an e-ticket for a selected connection and show it in the vehicle on your smartphone. Available payment options are SEPA direct debit, credit card, PayPal and ApplePay.
 
The transport area of the Verkehrsverbund Großraum Ingolstadt (VGI) covers the districts of Eichstätt, Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, Pfaffenhofen a. d. Ilm and the city Ingolstadt. VGI - We connect the region!

Permissions:
The app needs the following permissions for the full range of funcion, additional to the internet access:
 
•	Your location in order to use the current position for start/destination, and also to determine stops nearby.
 
•	Access to your Calendar to save connection information in the calendar. If you want to do that, the app must query the list of installed calendars. The app doesn’t read calendar entries.
 
•	Access to your address book so the program has access to your contacs. By select-ing a contact, the corresponding stored address is being used for the start/destination. When searching a connection, the given address is used for the request of start/destination - here, the system can not distinguish if the address has been selected from contacts or has been typed in manually. These permissions are only used within the mobile terminal device for the started purposes. The call list will not read by the app.
You can adapt permissions in the settings and use our app without these functions.

Die App funktioniert innerhalb der letzten drei Tage Heute Abend wieder nicht. Hoffentlich funktioniert sie Morgen Vormittag während des Streiks, daß man wenigstens daß sehr magere Angebot nutzen kann. Sinnvoll wäre ein Lehrgang für die Fahrer: Pünktlich Fahren.

Bis vor 1,5 Wochen hat die App tadellos funktioniert. 
Nun leider gar nicht mehr. Es werden keinerlei Zugverbindungen angezeigt. Busverbindungen nur zum Teil. Somit kann auch kein Online Ticket gebucht werden. Telefonische Rücksprache mit dem Service Center hat null komma nix gebracht, da die Dame am Telefon noch nicht einmal versucht hat, das Problem zu klären.

Erkennt nichtmal das geänderte Passwort über das web-VGI Portal. Kann mich also nicht einloggen und das Ticket abrufen - obwohl Passwort 1:1 dasselbe ist. Bekomme bei Passwort zurücksetzen über die App natürlich auch keine Mail

Ich bin dieser App neutral entgegen gegangen. Je länger ich sie nutze, desto mehr fallen mir viele Probleme auf. Außerdem ist sie super unpraktisch in Kombination mit dem Deutschlandticket.
Es wäre schon, wenn diese App mehr auf die alltäglichen Bedürfnisse der Nutzer eingeht. Es dauert gefühlt eine Ewigkeit den QR-Code des Deutschlandtickets zu öffnen. Es wäre sinnvoller, wenn ich das Ticket auf der Startseite angezeigt bekomme. Neuerdings werden auch nicht mehr alle Busverbindungen angezeigt.

Ich fahre als Schülerin jeden Tag (Mo-Fr) mit dem Bus und wenn ich in der Früh in die App schaue werden mir meistens schon Entfälle angezeigt (wenn es schon welche gibt) und an meinem Bus-Stop wird auch immer angezeigt wie lange der Bus noch braucht

Die Benutzeroberfläche ist völlig veraltet, die Navigation eine Zumutung – träge, unübersichtlich und technisch instabil. Verbindungsabfragen scheitern regelmäßig mit der Fehlermeldung CGI_NO_SERVER, als würde die Server permanent überfordert sein.

Besonders frustrierend: Tickets sind nicht zentral zugänglich. Stattdessen muss man jedes Mal mühsam durch die lahmende Menüstruktur navigieren, nur um dann festzustellen, dass die zuvor gefundene Verbindung verschwunden ist. Eine Integration in die Wallet? Fehlanzeige – dabei wäre das mittlerweile Standard.

Als wäre das nicht genug, wird der Großteil des Bildschirms bei der Verbindungssuche von überflüssigen Fehlermeldungen blockiert, die sich nicht schließen lassen und keinerlei Mehrwert für die aktuelle Verbindung bieten.

Diese App ist im aktuellen Zustand schwer benutzbar und macht den Alltag unnötig kompliziert. Hier braucht es dringend ein komplettes Redesign – technisch wie konzeptionell.

Dieser Moment, wenn man eher auf google maps vertrauen kann, dass man Busverbindungen angezeigt bekommt, als auf diese ehrenlose App.

Ehrlich so verbuggt wie diese App ist, bekomme täglich mehrere Fehlermeldungen, wenn ich nach Busverbindungen suche. Echt peinlich von so einem Unternehmen eine so einfache App nicht auf den neusten Stand bringen zu können. In der heutigen Zeit sollte man schon dafür sorgen, dass wenn man schon eine App hat, diese auch laufen sollte und man sich auch darauf verlassen kann, dass einem Busverbindungen angezeigt werden. (Ist halt auch der eigentliche Sinn dieser App)

Wer in dieser Stadt einem halbwegs seriösen Job nachgehen will und seine Wege nicht direkt zu Fuß zurücklegen will, der hat keine andere Möglichkeit als das Auto zu nehmen, der ÖPNV hier ist eine absolute Katastrophe und die Zeiten, die die App und die Tafeln angeben sind einfach nur gelogen und nicht realistisch
